I was thinking of ordering airsoft gun from the US, just wanted to know if it was legal. I am 18, is there any other requirements? .. too much urban movies i guess

Not sure I was not aware , Australia, had fallen so low on the
Freedom scale. Well know I know, it has , its a shame its no
longer a Free Country.

Standard metal BB's are 4.5mm in diameter and at best will just dribble out the end of an airsoft gun. They are also heavier than the 6mm plastic ones and the guns don't have enough power to push them very fast. The tips are orange because the laws in several states require it so it can be identified as not a firearm.

Airsoft BB Guns are illegal as they are a weapon. If discovered by customs the item will be confiscated and you could be fined.

To legally import any type of weapon you will need to apply to your local police office for a license. I sincerely doubt they would grant you a license in this case however. It was already hard for me to obtain a license to import an ornamental sword (although the sword was actually sharp and could cut so I guess it was a "weapon").

No it is not legal in Australia and it is an offense to try to import one ~~
