In a nationally televised debate last night, the ten candidates for the Republican presidential nomination engaged in a battle royal, with each candidate staking his claim to the title of the whitest white male in the G.O.P. race.

With the elusive white male voter holding the keys to victory in the G.O.P. nomination, all ten candidates seemed mindful of reaching out to that often-forgotten voting bloc.

The question of “who is the whitest” came up in the opening minutes of the debate held on the campus of the University of South Carolina, where hundreds of concerned white male voters gathered to hear the candidates speak.

“Not only am I the whitest male in this race, I am the whitest male named Thompson in this race,” said former Wisconsin governor Tommy Thompson in an apparent reference to former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson, who is poised to become the eleventh white male vying for the G.O.P. nod.

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney went on the offensive when he cited his “impeccable whiteness credentials,” telling the crowd, “I was a governor, a businessman, and before that, a generic white male Clipart character.”

But perhaps the most electrifying moment in the debate came from Sen. John McCain of Arizona, who at 70 years of age would be the oldest white male ever elected president.

“With all due respect, I have been whiter longer than any of the men on this stage,” he said, to thunderous applause.

That Americans are discreetly racist towards Mexican period?
Below are some comments that I've come across that people post about Mexicans, yes the issue is "ILLEGALS" BUT people also seem to say I can't tell if they are legal or not, so I just dont smile at Mexicans.

"I only stare because I am fed up with your ILLEGAL arses and cant stand you. I never smile at a Mexican because you never know if they are here legally or not."

"I stare and smile because I want to make sure my car doesn't get vandalized by you once I go into the store. I don't hate you, I don't trust you. If you broke the law coming into my country why should I trust you to follow the rest of the laws America has set up"

" I don't smile at them in the streets - never have. They are constantly staring me down and each time I say......"WTF are you staring at? Get your eyes off me!!" It happens almost daily"

If you don't have anything against Mexicans (legal), why not smile? You CAN'T tell who is, who isnt!

Regardless of what most of the out-of-touch-with-reality Bush lovers on Yahoo post, the GOP is in very serious trouble. Don't believe me? Start watching conservative talk shows a little more. So, go ahead - call me a liar, insult me - watch your party sink a little bit more everyday. I hope you guys have a plan "B" for the next year or two (as to which political party you want to be in), 'cuz Bush is on the fast track to sinking the GOP (if he hasn't already done it).

Iraq has almost stopped 'rebuilding', and that what has been rebuilt could be destoyed at any time. The 'government' of 'Vichy Iraq' if anything is less competent than the Bush administration..if that's possible. While a real effort to deal with 'Terror Inc. wouldn't be a bad idea, continuing this BushWar for Oil ,or if you prefer this BushWar for Nothing has to end..and not in ten years. Wadda' 'ya think?

To spread Islamic religion? (Is that their way to spread their religion? By Kamikaze's or terrorisms?)

Is it due to US years of continuous support on Israelis' regime occupation in the Middle East? (which unbearable depressions led ones, or the victims and the witnesses commit suicidal attack ?

All answers are appreciatiated, please tell me where you are from.

My son who is 19 y/o was taking his g/f out to eat one night. On the way there, someone pulled out in front of him. My son did the wrong thing and flipped the guy off when he passed him. They went on to there dinner date at a restaraunt. While there he ordered a beer.
They did not card him and served him the beer. They ate a leisurly dinner then headed home. On their way out of town, over 1 1/2 hours later he was pulled over. The officer cited his reason for pulling him over was that his vehicleand tags matched the description of a vehicle reported by another motorists that the motorist claimed was driving recklessly.
He performed a field sobriety test which my son passed. But being an honest sort of kid he admitted to having drank one beer at the restaurant. He was consequently arrested and charged with DUI/ minor.
Is a report from another motorist sufficient probable cause to pull him over? Or should the officer need to personally witness him doing something wrong?

Hillary Clinton said that EVERY Republican at the Republican debates were for the war. THAT’S A LIE!!!!

Republican Rep. RON PAUL was AGAINST the war from the very beginning! Unlike Hillary, he didn’t believe the OBVIOUS BS propaganda coming from the White House. He even recently went on Bill Maher and stated that a big reason we are in the Middle East is to protect American OIL INTERISTS!!!! Are you EVER going to hear Hillary say such a blatant TRUTH like that??? Doubt it!!!

RON PAUL voted
AGAINST the war in Iraq,
AGAINST the National ID Card,
AGAINST the Military Commissions Act,
AGAINST the Patriot Act.

Hillary Clinton voted:
FOR the war in Iraq,
FOR the national ID card,
FOR the Military Commissions Act,
FOR the Patriot Act

I mean come on guys the NY Times didn't even have the JFK terror plot on the front page on there Sunday edition, every NY Papper did, Post, Daily News, as a resident of NY I am disappointed in the times yet again.

O'Reilly calls Liberals out but also calls Cons out 2.
Hannity and Colmes the best News program on T.V.
Gretta is ok.

I don't support illegal immigration but her situation is a bit different. She brought to the US 20 years ago when she was a baby by her parents who were dying...she had papers from someone else. Anyways, to make a long story short...she is a great gal who has a lot going for herself but I really want to help her become a US citizen but she has no papers only a state ID and that's it. Is there anything I could do to help her out?

Secular may mean a state without religious influences, but I don't think the idea is to strip the religious rights of others. Typically most people that I meet that could be termed "secular" actively encourage a belief system. In fact, most of these people have never spoken a disdainful word about religion in my presence. The notion seems to be that the system would keep any one religion from gaining control over the rights and practices of other religions.

Now to the other term; "progressive". That doesn't sound all that awful to me. Progress is great! All too often we are promised progress without delivery.

I know some of you espouse a certain religion poised to take over our government, but for one moment try to think in the shoes of a minority faith before you answer.

the neighbor that lives behind me is building a porch that does not cross onto my property but the roof top is ontop of our brick fence that that divides our property. when it rains it will dump all the rain water on my property. i really don't want extra mess on my side since the water will cause the wooden foundation on my shed to rot eventually. is there anything i can do legally to put a stop to their construction?

The United Nations just voted the chair of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development (specializing in economic land and rural development) to Zimbabwe (inflation 2,200%!) AND, if that wasn't bad enough, The UN Disarmament Commission chair to Syria with Vice Chair going to Iran.
And we are paying for this? Yes, other nations pay as well, but like the income tax here at home, it is "Means" adjusted, so the good ole USA pays the lions share.
Is it any wonder that people around the world think we are stupid? Paying for an organization that rewards the failures and penalizes the productive but, obviously, feeble minded?
