when you have 45000 road trauma deaths and 30000 killed by firearms each year. Apart from 9/11 very few Americans die as the result of terrorism. Well outside Iraq I guess.

Ok, who else thinks this seatbelt law is the most stupidest, controlling communist law that the stupid US has come up with. Seriously, they have nothing better to do than waste money on a pathetic law which also kills. I heard about a girl who had the seatbelt on, her freakin' head got severed and when people can't get out of a car because their stupid seatbelt which is supposed to save their lives, has trapped them. Until you make smoking and drinking illegal, then I'll wear that piece of crap! How funny that smoking, which is a poison, is legal to 18 year olds. Me wearing or not wearing a seat belt, does NOT hurt others. Who's with me? :)

Majority of the people regardless of age, gender, education, and profession agrees that America is in deep trouble and there are lots of evidence to prove it.

With our national debt at $97.6 Trillion, our social security and medicare will be gone in the near future.

With a "war-president" who believes in doing whatever it takes to get the mission done in Iraq on the "war on terror" and many of Americans are losing faith in politics. A lot of us are losing jobs overseas to cheaper laborers and China and India are expected to be the next superpowers.

The future looks dim for America in preserving it's global power or is it?

One very important factor that many Americans have forgotten is that most countries copies our ideas. Innovation is what drives our country foward despite our debt. The American music, the fashion, the food, and TV shows are influences the world.

Americans do something and the whole world follows.

Doesn't our constitution say that illegal aliens are criminals? I am looking for a list of all politicians - congress and senate in all states - who support enforcing our laws instead of changing our laws for their own purposes with no concern for the American citizens and legal immigrants who have paid the price to come here legally. Providing amnesty to over 12 million criminals just means that they will bring more criminals across our open borders and continue to break our laws - there is no penalty for their crimes! Where is our justice department and why are our tax dollars being wasted on politicians who don't care about the rights of the people who elected them? If you have a complete list of people who are against amnesty for criminals, then please provide the names and links to their sites so that we can elect them and try to undo the horrendous damage being done by our current self serving lawmakers.

How can anyone come to an informed decision about the candidate that they are going to vote for, if they are not willing to hear both sides of the debate? They may learn something, change their mind, or be more committed to the political party that they belong to! I have learned so much more by listening to both sides, and if you do, you will find more similarities than differences

"pro-growth"

Competitive enterprise and the ordinary mix of disparity are not problematic at all.

And yet I witness a splendidly simple kind of worship of something that is a whole other animal altogether somehow.
Our political arena oozes with it like a hemoraging hemopheliac wandering aimlessly about in dread of the slightest bump.

This is a difficult question of course, to find the words for what I want to ask. I will probably have to reword it. But I'm giving it a first shot for right now.

Your best thoughts

Your half-thoughts,
all greatly appreciated.

Just check what the persons faced while trying to have any inappropriate laws amended!

Such people just have to wait fr themselves to end or have mercy of others in the midst of continuing injustice!

Social organisations help if they benefit. Not otherwise. Human rights commisions have no powers and no desire to work!

In this case, what is the status of a common man as far as law making or amending is concerned?

I'm watching the Today show this morning showing footage of Fidel Castro doing better and then showing Condoleeza stating that the Cuban people have the right to freedom and to a country of democracy (paraphrased). While I may personally agree with her statements, what role should the US play in this. It seems that the US always wants to ensure other countries govern as the US deems fit.

In all honesty, while the US claims to be a democracy, it really isn't, but yet and still we want to press our government on every country and state what is "best for the people". While I know there is a certain necessity to do this to ensure the safety of our country, we go overboard in my opinion.

Like my mama used to say, don't try to clean anyone else's kitchen until you know yours is clean.
