Yes and no. It's more of the same," We have no original ideas so let's crap on anyone who does" syndrome which is an epidemic in Y/A.And yes, there is obviously depseration in the Republican ranks, the only viable Republican candidate they think has a chance is the only man still living who's had more heart attacks than Dick Cheney.

Of course, the fact that Fred Thompson "is gonna run, ain't gonna run" wishy-washiness (or, as the strangely silent Republicans call it, "Flip-Floppiness"), apparently is acceptable, it lets you know juyst how much damage the Bush adminstration has done to the Republican party in the last 6 years.
Think of it: The Republicans had control of the White House, both Houses of Congress AND the Supreme Court, did they:

Abolish Abortion? Nope. Still whining about it though, As much mouth as they give wanting to abolish abortion, in 6 years, Republicans did nothing to stop abortions in the US;

Have a Marriage Amendment in the Constitution, stating a legal marriage is 'One Man, One Woman'? Nope, although this was a HUGE campaign pledge in both the 2000 and 2004 races. At the time they made it sound as though NOT adoting this amendment was the same as spitting on the American Flag;

Secure US Borders so a repeat of 9/11 cannot happen? Of course not. As the latest supposed, JFK Airport "plot" was broken up, we can still be attacked on our own soil, and coincidently while ALL our troops are stationed about as far away from us as they can be placed, and apparently even though your President has spent almost NINE TRILLION DOLLARS since September 11, thousands of illegal aliens stream into our country everyday.

Erected a 700 mile fence along the US Mexico border to curb Illegal Immigration? Don't be absurd. Private groups in Arizona have grown tired of waiting for our "War President" to secure the AZ/Mexico border and are erecting fences themselves.

Secured our ports? Not even close. In fact, one of the last things the Republican Congress did was to defeat a $650 million dollar budget addition to inprove port security in Seattle and NYC. You remember the eastern ports, don't you, they are the same ports your Republican Congress was going to SELL to the Middle East. I guess thats a progressive way to secure the ports, so clever I can't even begin to wonder why we would sell henhouse security to the foxes.

Found the man who admitted responsibility for the attacks in NYC and Washington DC on Sept 11, 2001, Osama bin Laden? I'm laughing outloud at this point. After telling us for weeks after the attacks how he was "gonna smoke [bin Laden] outta his cave", Bush has instead wasted the world's shock and goodwill over the attacks and removed the ONE leader in the Middle East who refused to allow bin Laden safe operating bases, Saddam Hussein. bin Laden HATED Hussein, because Hussein was taking Iraq in a non-religious (read: non-Muslim) direction, and wanted no part of bin Laden's Al-Qaeda network.

Fixed Social Security? We heard a lot of pie in the sky statements about "privatizing" Social Security, setting up Government IRAs for citizens and such. What happened? I know the guy who was in charge of this is no longer in Congress, as he was caught sending dirty emails to underage male pages, but does that mean the program is gone too?

Do I even need to bring up Bush's whole "Mission Accomplished" thing? Getting that message from a Deserter from the forces of the US Military turned my stomach. I am a veteran and anyone who calls our President a patriot and a hero while talking trash about John Kerry John McCain or John Murtha are people who have as little basis in reality as our cowardly Commander in Thief does.

i presumed Hillary replaced into completely on top of issues and gained the debate. i replaced into greater desirable than happy to verify the civil tone of the debate - exceptionally in direction of the top the place you obtain the effect if one have been given Prez, the different could evaluate the different for Vice Prez. i think of each and each candidate brings something to the table the different would not have. i could desire a Hillary / Obama value ticket, yet at this element, i could be basically as enthusiastic for an Obama / Hillary value ticket. If the two of those happens, i think of the Dems will win the final election by utilising a brilliant margin.

Totally. Just like suthern put up that it was just a Bush Bashing session goes to show that they don't even watch the other sides debates because they don't want to listen to the truth. Desperate is a nice word for what the Republicans face in this election.

Certainly. The debate showed a splendid group, not dud in the bunch last night, even while some disagreements became clearer. GOP has nothing, hence F. Thompson's Rorschach candidacy.
