how come at almost every high school you go to there is always a group of kids ages 13-17 smoking outside? i though it was illegal! how come the school lets them do that? if they were to do drugs like that the school would call the cops but smoking is just as bad and they let them get away with it? it gets me very mad that they dont enforce the law and tell kids to stop. if they were more stricter kids wouldnt do it because they wouldnt want to get caught. what do you think about all this?
should they be tougher?

why do they let kids get away with it?

My department will not allow the carrying of a single action 1911 as a primary duty weapon. They say the whole "locked and ****** method of carry is unsafe, therfore not permitted by most police depts nationwide. With how long the 1911 has been in use by military, police, and civilians, I am surprised some would consider the guns unsafe. Why would so many folks carry the damn things if there were so many accidents with them. My father is a veteran, and swore by his 1911 during the war. My dept has no problem with the glocks and berettas, and I guess I see why, but I love the classic 45 as a duty weapon. Anyone know of a situation where carrying a 1911 locked and ****** was unsafe?

I live in one state but my company (LLC) is registered/set up in another state. Regarding a website "terms of use", at the part where it talks about where disputes will be settled and/or arbitrated, which state should that be? The one where I live or the one where the company is registered? My company is 100% internet based.

The one where it's registered has better laws but it's 1000 miles away should a dispute arise. The state in which I live has unfavorable business laws. I don't know if one state or the other is a legal requirement or just a preference.

Yes, I know the obvious answer is "ask a lawyer" which I will do. But I'm just asking here to see if there's a consensus and to gauge whether or not my lawyer gives a good answer.

Thanks!

I was behind on my payment with Honda and a representative talked to me so rudely for no reason. I asked to speak with his supervisor, the answer was no. He told me kids were smarter than me and that I don't know how to add. He was the one unclear. But when I told him for how you are speaking to me I am going to record the call.

HE SAID: if you record the call I am going to put your car out for repossesion and he hung up on me.

I called back got the same guy he said is this ?

I said yes and I said let me speak to someone higher he said no again and I said well did you just not tell me that you would repossess my car if I recorded the call and he hung up again.

I spoke to escalations and they did agree to give me an extension but they do record ALL calls and they didn't want to handle it personally with me so I didn't get an attorney.
What should I do?
What would happen to this asshole?
What would I have to pay? or what do I get out of this?

When a true Christian is faced with a difficult decision, the litmus test for such a decision ultimately comes down to one question: “What would Jesus do?” What, if any, of Bush’s policies or decisions resulted from his claim to be a true Christian? And by the way, simply saying that he’s pro-life doesn’t cut it. What has he legislated, proposed, or what adopted policies exemplify his Christianity? What distinguishes talking the talk from walking the walk?

Has this guy been studying the PNAC agenda a little too closely?

Doesn't this type of "wishful thinking" qualify someone as mentally unstable?

I'll bet he watches "24" . . . RELIGIOUSLY.

This country is going straight down the tubes if people like this get any more of a foothold in the government.

A "madame" , a filthy rapper, the porn industry? Makes me wonder what the moral state of this country would be if she was in office. If these people think that she would be good, doesn't that imply that (in their minds) she would allow the culture to plummet into the gutter?

Putin warned that Moscow could take "retaliatory steps" if Washington proceeds with plans to build a missile defense system for Europe, including possibly aiming nuclear weapons at targets on the continent.

Iran's top security official called the U.S. plans for the missile defense shield a "joke," saying Iranian missiles do not have the capability to reach Europe.

Do you think we are just looking like weak prey to the rest of the world?

This has never before been an issue, as the moon has been well beyond our reach. However when our ingenuity gives us the option of traveling to the moon and our desperation for resourcess (energy in this case) gives us the incentive, it opens up an ethical question. The moon is of great importance to all life on earth, it is important to all cultures and even sacred to some religions. If someone claims legal ownership of the moon, and intend to exploit it to their gain, there will be people who will object to it. This is a very different case of claiming land than what it was in the age of colonisation, when the first superpowers conquered land by sticking their flag onto it irrespective of the natives living there. The moon is deserted of life, but there is no place on earth where it cannot be seen. That makes it, in my eyes, common property to everyone. We should set the rules regarding the moons ownership soon. I suggest leaving it alone and designating it as a world heritage site.

Edwards is still significantly behind Hillary and Obama in the Democratic nomination polls, and I'm wondering why more people aren't supporting him.

Personally I like him because he has the most concrete plans to deal with global warming, Iraq, health care, etc. He also has the best chance to beat the Republican candidate head-to-head, based on recent polls.

So for those who don't support Edwards, what problems do you have with him? Please serious answers and not meaningless issues like his haircut.
