This has more to do with foreign policy than it does with how evil president bush is. The US Is trying to create a missle shield to make Iran weaker in the middle east. Iran has a president just crazy enough to actually use nuclear weapons on Israel (He said he looks forward to the day Israel is wiped off the face of the earth, and held an investigation into whether or not the holocust happened).
The problem is that the proposed missle shield would take away Russia's nuclear capabilities. Putin is in an election year and this is a ploy to save his credibiilty from all the scandals going on in russia right now.
People who think this has anything to do with president bush or the united states picking on russia has no idea how power politics and foriegn policy works. Russia's and Iran's power are based only on 1 Oil, and 2 a Nuclear threat.
This wont start up the cold war because Russia knows it cant compete with the US like they did previously, and America knows Russia is too dependant on foriegn investment to actually use any military force on the west.

I think that this announcement was aimed first of all to the Russian citizens. This fall they are having parliament elections and next year-president’s. And it was always very popular in Russia to resist “imperialistic” advance of the USA. Soon in Russia every dog will be barking on the States and the politic will make rate on new cold war and the nation receive an Enemy, that will give them self-confidence and aim in life.
I dont think that words of mr Putin will turn USA to weak prey ,Cause its just a words, and now Russia couldn’t do anything else to the USA and their new ICBM’s is just a big bubble gum

They try to make us look like weak prey. But we will go forward with putting the missiles in, and it will be a good thing. Russia should arm themselves. You can never be too careful.

The US and the world take idle threats from Russia and Iran for what they are... showboating to the nation. Anyone with common sense realizes Russia is a mere shell of the super power they once were, and Iran is like the little kid on the block that wants to be included in big boy games. It's laughable.

#1 Iran is lying, they can reach Europe, #2 Putin is using this to get the Russian people's fears up to take them back behind the Iron Curtain. this is pure propaganda on his part and even a child can see what he is doing. We are installing a defense shield not weapons.

If that happens it would only be because our ports are being sold to someone in the United Arab Emirates. If the US was really concerned about Iran developing a weapon, we would either enrich their uranium ourselves or would let Russia do it.

By Bush logic, if we're doing nothing wrong then we have nothing to worry about.
Good for Putin for standing up to us/Bush.
Good for Putin for showing the world, especially China that he is alive and kicking, and that Russia is a force to be reckoned with.
Hopefully when we have to choose sides we'll stop siding with China and our downfall and will instead help Russia and we'll also continue to exist.
