Believe me, if we were kicking a55 and taking names, and Iraq was a shining example of democracy in the Middle East, these idiot Democrats would be strutting around saying "I voted for this!!"
But since war is not pretty, and Democrats base their policies solely on public opinion polls, they are trying to distance themselves from this war effort.
In other words, they have no backbone and are wimps.

Thank you for being a smart democrat. I love all of the idiot post that says there was no WMDs especially when they found quite a bit and Saddam shipped more to Syria. See the links below.

I'm a registered Republican and I don't think they (Democrats in Congress), care why the war was started. From now on to them this will be Bush's War, and Katrina will also belong to Bush. It will give them something to whine about, moan and ***** about for the foreseeable future. It doesn't even seem to matter how they voted on the war or funding thereof, they are never held accountable by their own party or the media. As far as Katrina, no one in office in Louisiana, (most of whom are Democrats) have taken responsibility for the disaster there, but it's convenient to blame President Bush. Sorry, but I am fed up with the whining and moaning. Thanks

They don't call it a mistake. They claim it was ALL Bush's fault. That he lied to them and he mislead them. They cannot admit they didn't know what they were doing because that would be admitting they made a mistake. And every Democrat knows Democrats are perfect. They make no mistakes.

Just the game of politics.
The only two Pres. candidates speaking the truth right now are Dr. Ron Paul for the GOP and Fmr. Senator Mike Gravel for the Democrats.
Unfortunately, both have been labeled as nut-jobs by their other party candidates.

I think they are referring to be lied to about WMD and the imminent danger from Iraq. That is why they are repudiating their vote.

They DID. Now that none have turned up, they realize that they gave Georgie a blank check to start something (WAR) that he had no viable plan to finish.

They call their votes a mistake because the war has been horribly mismanaged and has become the greatest American military fiasco since Vietnam.
