Alright, here is a question thats going to get some angry replies, I'm sure. How would people feel if the United States expanded by admitting other nations in as states? I have always been a big advocate of expanding the United States by admitting Canada, and/or the UK, and/or Australia, etc. in as additional states. For this to work of course the Federal Government would need to be weakened to accomodate greater autonomy for the constitutant states, however, I believe that a greater union would result in prosperity for all. Everybody can see that the economy/security has improved in Europe as a result of greater economic and social integration resulting from the European Union. Why not expand the United States, at least to those nations who share similar modes of government, economics, societies, and values? I feel this would be a great improvement for both the current United States, and the new states that would be added. What does everybody else think?

The property next-door has maple tree that is growing between our houses. The base of the trunk is on his side of the fence, but the top branches are hanging over my roof and scraping the shingles. Last fall, I had a tree service come to trim back some vines and trees on my own lot. I asked them then to trim the tree in question, but they refused saying that it was the neighbor's tree and they didn't want to get in trouble over it. A few weeks ago, I happened to see the owner of the lot (he owns it but doesn't live there) and pointed it out to him and asked if he would get someone to trim back the branches. He said "No problem." I guess he meant that it wasn't a problem for HIM, because it' s been 3 weeks now and nothing has been done. Two days ago I saw him there again and approached him regarding the tree. He totally ignored me and got his his car and drove away. What should I do now?

Do Americans actually appreciate that the British are standing side by side with them in Iraq, or do they look at a map and say. Who cares what that little island thinks or does

People accuse others of being "paid posters" here fairly frequently.

So where can I sign up. I've been doing this for free!

Thanks.

there be a higher tax rate placed upon them?
Since it's Patriotic Americans who built this country why should they be allowed to use the fruits of our Labor at our expense?
Wouldn't that truly be the Patriotic American Way?

I dont qualify for Disability as of right now, but i should this fall. I need to move out of my parent's house, and give them a break. Right now, they are the ones who have to take me everywhere. And I only ask to go places I need to go. And its still too much on them. Since my stepfather works away, he's not usually here to help my mom in taking me to the doctor. The reason I dont qualify is because of my resources. As far as medically, I do qualify. I need my independence. As much of it as I am able to handle. I'm 20 years old right now, and am on my parents insurance until i turn 21 this year. What is involved in the process of getting on an assisted living program?

I knew the title would get your attention. I just watched the movie "Man of the Year" last night, (I know it came out last year), and it really hit a nerve with me as I actually agree with the statements made by "Robin Williams"! My question is..Do you believe the two parties (Dem. and Rep.) are more for party politics than for the American People?

Whether or not you agree with the FACT that we are at war in Iraq, most Americans are fed up with the lack of results and the intractable stubbornness shown by our government in changing the strategy to something that will bring results faster.

Agree or disagree?
