Do Americans actually appreciate that the British are standing side by side with them in Iraq, or do they look at a map and say. Who cares what that little island thinks or does

YES, AMERICANS LOVE THE BRITISH...

It's the Mother Country of the U.S. The British and U.S. have always been on the same side following the war for independence. Most Americans are of some English descent.

I can't speak for all Americans, but I certainly don't feel that way. If some people think Great Britin is a spot on the map, they need a better education. We have been allies for a long time. I love British people.

We honestly appreciate your country's help. From all the people that I have spoken too, and I agree with them, what your country has done has really helped us, although I really think that we need to get out of Middle East.

We are very grateful and sincerely do appreciate all that your country has done for us and of course we care about your country, the size of the country does not determine a thing!

Have a great day/night

Those that think the war in Iraq is a just war probably do appreciate us standing together, other Americans & people from the UK that hold the view Bush & Bliar have killed loads of innocent people in their "phoney war" including numerous troops on each side which died needlessly because of their twisted dogma's probably disagree & think we are hopelessly evil.

It means a lot to us Americans that the nation of most of our ancestors has chosen to stand with us in this fight. I have nothing but respect for the British. You may only be a small island but you gave the world Shakespeare, Charles Dickens and the industrial revolution.

That you joined us in the Iraqi war says to the rest of the world that we are united in the fight for what is right in the world.

Personally, I've had immense respect for our relationship with the Brits and think Blair was a great leader for Britain. I believe our government derived from the British and is largely influenced by our British forefathers.

I can't speak for all Americans, however, as an American, I whole hartedly appriciate all the assitance the UK has afforded us.

I feel that the UK and the USA have a greater relationship as nations than simply allies... and feel that the Brittish people are more like brothers than foreigners.

In all reality, I look foreward to a time when the USA and the UK are reunited, and Brittan takes its rightful place as a state in the United States.

Wow. I'm probably going to catch hell for this position!

I am personally grateful that Britain is standing with us. Unlike some elements of the US government, a large portion of the US population appreciates our allies.
Also unlike some portions of our government, most Americans consider themselves part of the global community.
