The invasion wasn't based on uranium. It was based on violations of the cease fire agreement that Sadaam signed after the Gulf War and then refused to live up to. He thought that no one would try to enforce the agreement.

i think its more out in the open now. not sure how strong it was before the invasion. it could have been underground. but you don't solve violence with more violence. when i was growing up i remember our school teachers and parents telling us violence wasn't the answer that we should talk things out or walk away or the christian saying turn the other cheek.
but we haven't done that we took our fantastic military to a theater of war we knew very little about to fight against ghost and shadow guerrilla tactics. we are getting our butts handed to us. sound familiar ( how bout Britain v. colonies) and we know how that one turned out

Politicians on all sides lie. If they tell the treuth their nose grows longer. Who knows who is telling the truth? I do. None of them.
Al"Q is interested in harrassing the US because they know we will go along way before we do anything. They shy away from countries like Germany or Israel who would welcome the invitation to blow them to Mecca.
Al'Q is getting attention and money from America. Why else would they go to such lengths.
