I knew the title would get your attention. I just watched the movie "Man of the Year" last night, (I know it came out last year), and it really hit a nerve with me as I actually agree with the statements made by "Robin Williams"! My question is..Do you believe the two parties (Dem. and Rep.) are more for party politics than for the American People?

I believe they are meant to be for the people, but in reality, they are all about party politics.

And, I agree, that is a fantastic movie, isn't it?

Anyone who believes that they are more for the American people has been a cave for the last 50 years.

It is all about being elected.

I also like how it is pointed out in "Legally Blonde 2"

The blonde was upset because the congresswoman was putting self interest ahead of what she claimed to believe in, and this exchange followed.

Congresswoman: I can't get anything done if I am not here.
Blonde: You are not getting anything done now.

That says a lot.

I agree that they are all more interested in party politics than doing what is right for country. I don't belong to any political party but I end up voting for the lesser of the evils. I can't tolerate people who won't put the countrys need before their own

Democrats and Republicans are two sides of the same coin.
Heads they (the politicians) win, Tails they win, and either way the American public loses.

Public service is a brief civic duty, not a career. Never re-elect anybody.

Wow, the Democans and the Republicrats, don't you know that they are teamed up together against the rest of us? They both play the American people like a harp. Anyone out there that doesn't know that the Clinton's and the Bush's are bedfellows is a fool.

I saw the movie a few months ago. It is light, and, missed the mark big time. Fact is, TV and Radio commentors may have large audiences, bit, rarely, if ever, have the command of a particular issue. They ARE court jesters that do little but throw uninformed political bombs to titillate their listeners/watchers.

Yeah, the immigration deal is proof. Nobody on either side supports this except the politicians.
