No. She broke the law. She violated her terms of probation. She isn't above the law. Her celebrity status should not be an excuse for her to act like an idiot and be able to get away with it. Too often people with money and status walk when others who cannot afford the best of everything, including lawyers, have to serve actual jail time. In this instance, she has to "pay her debt to society." In Nelson Mandella's instance, he was jailed by a crooked system for something he couldn't avoid. He was jailed for standing up for the oppressed, and against a very badly-designed society and system of apartheid. He was jailed for being a champion for Civil Rights. Hilton was jailed because she was stupid enough to think she could be better than the law or any other citizen of this country.

Paris Hilton is jailed because she thinks she can do anything she wants with no consequences.

I don't think the two cases are anywhere close to being similar, P H is spoilt brat with everything she could ever want or need . While Nelson Mandela was imprisoned because he wanted a better life and to rid south Africa of in justice and apartheid!.
