In an industry,

1. You have a product that needs refining. The government has refused to allow you to build a new refinery in 30 years.

2. Your refineries are at almost peak capacity. There is little room for additional refining, especially when we are entering the peak demand season.

3. Instead of having one standard, there is a different one for each state and then some. You have to accommodate each blend, instead of having all your refining be of one blend.

What happens if one or two refineries, already at peak usage, goes down?

Another man, William Roman, was shot with nine rounds of electrical ammunition last month outside an Orlando night club. His "criminal" act was disorderly conduct and one false move may have cost him his eyesight, according to Problem Solver Wendy Saltzman.
One of the men featured in the report, Antonio Adams, said he felt like a hunted animal after being shot three times with Tasers by police.

"I felt like I was going to die, you hear me. I was supposed to die that day," Adams said. "When I tried to get up he was like, 'Tase him, Tase him.' and when the next Taser came the next Taser hit me in the temple. Police brutality, that's what I'm screaming."
Most officers have used their Tasers only once or twice. But three of the top Orlando police officers have used their weapons a combined total of 77 times, in just the last 13 months.

Officer Johnathan Cute tops the list with 35 Tasing incidents, according to the report.

In Orange County, the top three "Taser" cops have used their weapons a total of 59 times.

Local 6 News discovered that the use of force against suspects in Orlando have nearly doubled in the last 14 months since Tasers were issued to police. And even though officers were using more force, they arrested fewer suspects.

Police injuries did decrease significantly, but suspect injuries stayed the same.
Sen. Gary Siplin, D-Orlando, to propose a bill that would restrict the use of Tasers to firing only at violent or threatening lawbreakers.

"I was hearing reports of Tasing for jaywalking, a 75-year-old woman, a 5-foot, 100-pound high school girl — by a 200-pound officer," he said. "I know she may have a big mouth, but was it necessary to Tase her?"

His bill died in committee May 6, but Siplin said plans are moving ahead for a state-sponsored study of the effects of Tasers on people with cardiac, neurological and respiratory conditions, and on people taking drugs.

"You shouldn't be killed for being on drugs. You've got to take the subject the way you find him."

A few friends of mine have been having an ongoing argument about police searches.

---hypothetical situation---
So there is a party. There is underage drinking (I'm 24, this question is for trivial knowledge and the right to say "i told you so") If the police know there is a party, but havent received any noise complaints and have no REAL proof that there is underage drinking. Do they have any right to enter the house without consent or a warrant?

Additionally, in an attempt to find a loophole, can they claim that they smelled marijuana (even if they honestly did not) and then use that as an excuse for an unwarranted search?

On the topic of loopholes, what are the limitations on the police's rights to look through windows? Can they look through bathroom windows? If they can look through bathroom windows, couldn't that be considered sexual harassment?

His leadership during the Iran Hostage Crisis was pathetic and he failed the nation. Iran should have been invaded 25 years ago and we possibly even could have stopped Islamic terrorism before it even got a foothold in the Middle East. Instead he sends an ill equipped, poorly trained team that failed the mission. And inflation rose like crazy during his administration.

Air raid sirens sounded nationwide today as Russian aircraft attacked in force all across northern Norway. Norwegian fighter squadrons engaged superior forces but were unable to stop the attacks. The Norwegian Prime Minister has formally requested military assistance from the United States.

In Washington, an unconfirmed source told HNN that the President would address the nation soon asking Congress for resolutions supporting the defense of Norway. Highly placed sources, within the administration, confirmed that the President is prepared to "GO IT ALONE" in Norway but quickly added that Congressional support would be a welcomed addition.

In Brussels, the United Nations security council unanimously passed a resolution #2069. This resolution supports the Russian actions in Norway authorized active quarantine operations against U.S. Naval forces in the Norwegian Sea. When asked about future military operations, the spokesman said that the only impediment to peace was in Washington.

I understand that the size of the police department depends on the population of the town or city. The fictitous town I am writing about has a population of seven thousand and fifty people. What would the size of the police department be for a town with this many people in it..

I was wondering if fecal matter or vomit was ever used as forensic evidence...

Like if a suspect was last seen eating dinner with the victim at a seafood restaurant, but denied it. Also lets say the victim was mutilated where the stomach contents were spilled. Lastly maybe the suspect used an outhouse or whatever leaving their fecal matter...so that the police can compare the seafood.

I know it sounds funny, but I never hear anything but blood and semen on Cold Case Files or any other of those shows.

I think violent crime would be drastically reduced across the board if people walked around openly carrying automatic weapons.

During a United Nations meeting the U.S. Secretary of State took the podium and issued a terse response to the French Foreign Minister. "Terrorism exists in the world today in its current form because continental powers are too timid to respond to the open hostilities of the Arab world. France in particular should be ashamed that it continues to expand its trade with rogue nations such as Iran, Iraq and Libya." The Secretary closed her speech by saying that the United States would seek out and punish those responsible for attacks against Americans no matter where they live, and any country harboring, protecting or supporting these fugitives would also feel the weight of American justice.
