the institution of the Federal Reserve bank to regulate currency and employment keeps the mice on the wheel for the corporates

this country is not run by the electorate it is run by corporations and the rich by the continued regulation of employment and "entitlements" to keep us in the spend and consume mentality

it is the Medias manipulation of the truth and the ideals that are prevent us from taking our country back from the people who already have orchestrated the coup only we didn't see it

i mean seriously.... tell me what you are really free to do in our society today anyway.... compared to past generations our lives are controlled by others from the cradle to the grave little thought than to what part of the machine will you work in or which brick in the wall you'll be

thats why people are so hungry for reality... to much pretending going on

Edit: the coup happened during the sixties and seventies... it took a toe hold in the eighties and since computer power and the internet with all the mass media.... the government centralized power to the point that no state or local government challenges them because of their ability to control funds also...

this same centralization of power and communications has created mold and templates of behavior that have become so engrained that they are almost perpetual... but without a doubt the corporations have franchised the image of America and are selling its soul for profit... to the point that many towns have no individuality... and their is very little uniqueness of culture between states and cities

just an observation of the loss of freedom and individuality

go read the constitution.

Take a look at the preamble it starts "We the People", how do you have a coup when We the People are the government.

We have the ballot box and that lets us perform a measured coup every time we vote.

The government works for the people in the US not the other way around, although it seems like it some times, but that is the bureaucracy of the system.

Read the oath a military and civilian employee takes upon entering the military/civil service. It is to uphold and protect the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, "NOT the President"

5 Supreme Court Justices undid all of the above "safety" mechanisms in 2000.

Of course, one well placed bullet (or air to air missile or even a surface to air missile) will do the same thing, in reverse.

So, the first coup d'etat in US history was pulled off by a majority vote of the Supreme Court - the Judiciary Branch - defeating the concept of checks and balances for all eternity. The Press was compliant and the people did not revolt. Nine months later, we are greeted with 9/11.

The fact that the federal government does not control the police or the national guard. Even if a military coup took over Washington DC they would not control the country unless state and local governments joined it.
