First off.... when someone says why don't liberals and cons get along you say well those libs are over the top .... blah blah blah.Look at yourselves do you not realize you are doing the same thing? And right now I am going to bash cons... I do not deny that. Why do you cans blame us for problems that you created in the first place... such as the war in Iraq? Then you turn around and say.... Bush is a liberal... then why did you vote for him? You say we do not support the troops when we are the ones that want them home. Some of you not all but some also severely insult Liberals. You call us members of Al-queda, anti-american, dumb, lieberals and underacheivers. Yet you say boo hoo the liberals on here insult us so much. Why do liberals not want to help Iraqis.... do you think you have helped them.... in your war against terror? There is more violence than ever!Why do you twist things around to make yourselves look right... don't you see that you are missing most of the bigger picture?

so i just finished getting gas and while crossing the streret intersection i saw acop's car and i think they where going to turn anyway to our way street and by now i still didnt have a seatbelt on and i think one of the cops saw me and they were just looking at our car like with a squinty kinda eye. well we made a turn because we were already almost home and they kept heading straight so do you think they are going to charge us for not having the seatbelt on i mean they should of followed us and asked for our info and everything right?

It provided more money for the troops than Bush asked for. He didn't like the timeline - but that has nothing to do with supporting the troops.

I have a history BA with a good GPA (3.4) from a good school (UCLA). I'll be naturalizing soon and it has always been a dream of mine to fly. Knowing that most people who want to be pilots have studied things like aeronautical engineering etc, do I still have a good chance with a history degree?

I did study physics for two years before changing majors, so my math and general science education is strong. I also work as an engineer.

Not really. Our legal system defines "legal" as anything that is not illegal. In other words EVERYTHING is legal until legislation is passed outlawing it.

It's funny to hear fake conservatives aka "libertarian neo-cons" saying this then two seconds later saying "liberals want to legislate your life". Well, which is it? Are we a nation of laws, or a nation which prefers not to have/need them?

With all the advances in communications, hypersonic travel, globalization,etc I think it's inevitable that in a few centuries the world will be one culture without borders. I know people are reluctant sometimes because of national pride and stuff but it is inevitable that our planet will unite with one government and a culture that is a combination of all the cultures. Hopefully the World Government will value individual freedoms and democracy. No one wants a worldwide fascist or communist police state!

Voice your opinion against rewarding illegals for breaking the law. Send everyone you know to this petition. I would put the exact link to the site here, but yahoo is blocking that.

The idea of rewarding illegals who broke the law with a path to citizenship is ridiculous. Our government is a worthless disgrace.

My reasoning is flag burning is not freedom of speech there no spoken content to begin with, and burning the flag is insulting to people that serve thier country, and take pride in it. I know many people closed their accounts at Bank of America after finding out that they were going to endulge in the immoral practice of granting bank accounts to illegal immigrants. But that hasn't stopped the many other companies and government organizations from offering their services to them. How much better off would we all be if Americans would take their indignation at illegals for crossing the border and focus it on themselves for welcoming them with these kinds of frivolties? We've had laws on the books forever that are supposed to be doing the same thing that this recent bill is doing, yet we haven't had the vigilence to uphold them. Will we ever get off our high horse and realize that "if we let them, they will come?" There wouldn't be an illegal immigration problem if we didn't allow our own people to give them pseudo-amnesty in the first place, would there?
