I know many people closed their accounts at Bank of America after finding out that they were going to endulge in the immoral practice of granting bank accounts to illegal immigrants. But that hasn't stopped the many other companies and government organizations from offering their services to them. How much better off would we all be if Americans would take their indignation at illegals for crossing the border and focus it on themselves for welcoming them with these kinds of frivolties? We've had laws on the books forever that are supposed to be doing the same thing that this recent bill is doing, yet we haven't had the vigilence to uphold them. Will we ever get off our high horse and realize that "if we let them, they will come?" There wouldn't be an illegal immigration problem if we didn't allow our own people to give them pseudo-amnesty in the first place, would there?

dallas - I'm not sure why you think that I'm suggesting that. We are a government of the people, and an economy of the people. So why don't we act like it, and be more like the people who were pro-active in cancelling their bank accounts?

Eclipse - There is a flaw in your logic. And that is that their isn't 20 million Ted Bundys out there. One or two is the result of cracks in society. But 20 million is the result of apathy on our part to do anything.

me2 - You bring up a good point. I'm sure there are many illegals, though, that would be sickened by such comments. It's hard to imagine that such would be so outspoken if we had not spoiled them in the first place.
