Do you believe Carter will burn for eternity?

Is he Christ-like as he spews judgment and hatred?

Is he teaching people how NOT to be a Christian?

Actually, whatever happened to the US the world knew in JFK times? What changed? How come a civilized nation has a funny faced president who looks exactly like Alfred E.Newman? What, me worry? I know the answer very well, but I would like to hear what other working minds are thinking. Thank you.

As stated in our divorce decree, my ex-wife was supposed to either pay off 50% of our joint debt or refinance in her name (removing me from the accounts). I paid my half with proceeds of the sale of our home but she hasn't paid off or refinanced her portion ($8,000+) and has not made any atttempt to pay off the balances for 3 years. Since these debts still show on my credit report, my credit is now in shambles, I can't even rent an apartment. What steps can I legally take to retify the situation and rebuild my credit?

"Jewish Barbie dolls, with their revealing clothes and shameful postures, accessories and tools are a symbol of decadence to the perverted West. Let us beware of her dangers and be careful," said a message posted on the site. A spokesman for the Committee said the campaign against Barbie — banned for more than 10 years — coincides with the start of the school year to remind children and their parents of the doll's negative qualities.

Im disgusted that congressmen/ women get a salary ( and a big salary at that!) even if they are voted out after one term of office. No other job is like that! You all should be ashamed of yourselves.

Gun control has been successful in other countries such as England, Canada, and Australia. We all know that NRA money is going to our legislators through lobbyists. The right to bear arms no longer applies to our times. The only people that need guns are law enforcement people. Why does someone need a pistol or automatic weapon to hunt rabbits?

There are no curse words, there is no name-calling, I see nothing which "violates" the Community Guidelines. Someone reported me for this post because the obvious similarity between bush's Patriot Act and Hitler's Enabling Act made them very angry.
Can anyone, please, post a specific sentence (s) which actually did "violate Community Guidelines?" I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
Here's the message sent to me by Yahoo censors:

Deleted Question: Do you see Hitler in bush, with the Reichstag Fire being like 9/11 and The Enabling Act being the Patriot Act?"

The evangelical movement and other moral majority swarms have become a blind, stupid herd of cattle with huge voting power. The rabid consumer is the standard to which the auto and other industries cater. I think people from other countries think that we are ignorant, self-harming, and impulsive children in America. I know differently because I know many intelligent thoughtful people who aren't snowed by the media or worse the politicians. Here's the problem... The stupid are easily led and vote the way they are told to vote leaving one or two men with way more than their fair share of votes to cast in this democracy. Intelligent people tend to disagree because debate is the food of the brain. Can't we get together and decide that their are some really scary things happening in this country and we need to find some common ground to get our voices heard. Decisions shouldn't be made by people who continue to think SUV's are a good idea and tomorrow never happens.

My wife and I would like to retire but must continue working part time to keep up with property taxes, let alone the $3300 we must pay to the school education fund in our community. Our children are grown and working why should we have to support schools we have no children in.

(this question is from a UK perspective but 1&2 are probably true in the US)

1. On the one hand voters complain that the politicians don't listen to the public. On the other they complain that they are too influenced by public opinion and 'focus groups' (and are not showing true leadership).

2. Also politicians are accused of only caring about re-election. Doesn't this suggest that if the public voted for only the honest, decent politicians they would all become this way?
The truth is when politicians tell the truth and offer the hard choices, the public don't want to hear it.

3. Furthermore, voters claim that every social ill is the government's responsibility but when they legislate on such issues they are accused of interfering and being the 'Nanny State' (eg ASBOs).

We are fightibg others fights, we are helping other lands find housing and food (we have people that are diong with out), we are sending our work (jobs) to other lands and making less jobs for "We the American People" . Cost of living is far out of reach and the pay stays the same. Give disability to those with a disability, not to the whole family
there is a lot of milking the system "CHILD HAS ASTHMA, PAIRENT GETS SSI" even though he/she is able to work ??where is the money going ??
