Actually, whatever happened to the US the world knew in JFK times? What changed? How come a civilized nation has a funny faced president who looks exactly like Alfred E.Newman? What, me worry? I know the answer very well, but I would like to hear what other working minds are thinking. Thank you.

US doesn't have to be responsible for whats happening in other countries .. There's UNO for that .. and NATO forces to do the peace keeping... so they might as well keep their troops within their own borders as long as somebody doesn't attack them ... this way so many soldiers lives would have been saved ..

What should we do when psychotic mad-men kill hundreds of Americans and threaten to do even more harm all the time? These bombers aren't logical so nice TEA PARTY'S with "discussions" haven't worked. Neither can we as a sovereign nation remain sovereign if we don't show them we mean business.

Our soldiers are brave and they face death everyday. Be proud of them, and why do you care what the President looks like? He's married, are you?

well, lets see, during the eight years previous to the current Admin, we had no combat troop invasions of any sovereign nation, imagine that...

we had Somalia, which was a humanitarian effort launched by the previous President that turned into a combat situation (and Clinton had to go with 'the army he had')
we had a few bombing raids, in Iraq, the Sudan, and in Afghanistan, and we joined forces with NATO in Kosovo
we sent peace keeping forces into Haiti and Bosnia, too, but again those were either UN or NATO operations
so, maybe you can tell me what happened, because it sure seems like we could use NATO in Iraq!

By sending troops to other nations, we help keep the peace. Such is the case in Korea. In Iraq, we help oust a maniac who was murdering his own people. In other countries, we havenaval and air bases which we need to maintain for keeping the peace as well. I would hardly call this barbaric.

Chow!!
