A colleague was given a severance package after 3 months of work due to reporting ethical violations--the company called it a bad fit. The corp attorney sent a severance letter with several weeks pay and it was signed. But, my colleague was looking through her former desk files/stuff and found an offer letter that had her annual salary on it, and it was signed by her management. She got the offer letter before she signed her employment agreement. Since she already accepted the severance, can she now go back and push the salary on the offer letter--which is an implied contract?

America is now in for the most part an unpopular war. In my opinion, now that we are in it, we must finish the job or we will have the same kind of death and destruction in our own neighborhoods soon thereafter. Why do most Americans think that in a war we have been in for 4 years now, that just over 3400 troops that have died thus far, is too many? Obviously it is a very sad day when even one American soldier, sailor, marine or airman dies. But it is a cost now that must be paid to ensure that in American streets in the future, we don't have car bombs and suicide vests blowing people up everyday. Can you imagine? I mean really imagine? So why do we Americans not see that this death toll (much lower than any 4 year war+) is worth the cost we are paying? I think as Americans, we have lost our Courage or our determination...maybe even some National pride. Please response coherently...even you democrats.

I have "sports-induced asthma" but no problems with it as I run 2-3 miles 3 times a week. I would like to get TV/radio broadcasting experience in the Air Force. I talked to the recruiter and he said most likely I will go in as an E-3 and maybe work my way up to being an officer. What should I do, am I on the right track and what are my chances of getting in?

i'm trying to face my PO with as much info as i can get. i got caught for intoxication and my first meeting is this friday. and my stupid *** has thc in my system, but i don't even know if i'll get tested, but i want to know how she'll react. this is my first offense so i'm going on the first offenders program so i won't have a record. but i smoked this past weekend for my prom. i just wanna know what will happen before i have to get 40 bucks for a detox and let my parents knwo what happened. i have connections with the legal system that's putting me on probation, and i had to head of the legal department call and inquire about my case so they won't try to mess with me.

Why don't they just give prisoners everything they need like sanitary pads/towels for the women, one snack a day for everyone across the board, and like five cigarettes a day for smokers. Why don't standardize what every prioner gets and distribute it. Most if not all prisoners are sitting in prison because of something that had to do with money. If they didn't steal it, they did something to someone in the pursuit of it. Why don't they eliminate the use of money in the whole rehabilitation process.

Ps. I am not talking about cold cash, I am talking about currency or any type of commerce.

physical and mental abuse where reported to the child protection , police , plus a counseller. Not only was the file not investigated it was closed the paper work i recieved stated this . even though emotional abuse is traumatizing to a child it does not hold pressidence in the criminal code of canada . this was with the R.C.M.P i tried to go over there heads but i geuss the person who did this is allowed to keep doing it ..... my children needed counselling and to this day have never recieved help from our reinforcement of our police , child protection i guess there is no breaking the cycle the system allowed abuse to happen to me and even allowed the abuser to adopt now that is sick . please can anyone help me to help my children

If you put your keys, wallet, cell phone, into an unlocked public locker at a basketball court, inside a rec center type place, and somebody opens the locker and steals all that you have inside...one of those things being your social security card, tons of credit cards, a drivers license too.. now, if i cancle the credit cards, what can someone do if they know my social security number? im so nervous, i know its important, but what exactly can they do or find out about me.... am i ruined?

DUI OR NOT DUI? non attendace at court after judge gave 2nd chance?
Washington State-

I was charged with(driving a motor vehicle being under 21 with alchol in my system) (1st offense) the judge says this isnt a DUI. i blew a 0.05%. Whats the real difference in charges.
AND ALSO PLEASE HELP WITH THIS Q--- i went to court they gave me a 1000$ fine, victims pannel, 1 day in jail and liscense suspension. and was suppose to report back 3month later with all this done but i never did it, but i did pay 400$ of the fine . I appeared in front of the judge hThe judge said hell give me asecond chance to get this done and was suppose to report back again 3 months with it done. but i had to leave state, my girl was having my baby and now its been 2 years and i still havnt gone back to WA. but am planning to WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN I TURM MYSELF IN. Whats the judge gonna do? im real nervous hes gonna throw the MAX penalty at me. is there someone who can answer or can i ask?? --thank you
