Inform SS that your card was stolen . They will replace it with a new #. This will also help them discover where it turns up. Inform the Drivers Lic Div( where you got your Lic) that it was taken. You will have to pay for a replacement Lic but they will issue one . Inform all credit reporting companies (Experian etc ) about your cards , and report the phone to the phone co. They will disable the phone from placing calls. You'll have to get a new phone on your same contract. And report this to the police. Cover all the bases and go to your bank and alert them of what has happened and ask for any advice they might have.(talk to an account mgr , not a teller) And of course notify all credit card companies, and they will issue new cards, but hang on to all old #s and read their policies statement on indemnity for stolen cards, and follow through.Find out what all your balances on your cards are right NOW and write it down and keep good records. Don't make any expenditures with the new Credit cards for a month and watch what happens. Keep in touch with the CC companies every few weeks for an update. One thing more , change all account #s if they took your debit card or got a check that was in your wallet , and use different PINs. If it were me ,I would close all my credit card accts. and reapply for new cards. If the account is closed it cant be used. Hope this helps.

You can file a police report; however, depending on where you live, you may be told to just call back in to a certain number between business hours Monday-Friday and will be given a Control number.

As far as your Social Security Card, you can report it as stolen and get a replacement card; however, they will not issue you a new SSN# - only in extreme cases do they ever do this and many times you have to litigate in order to get this accomplished.

Also, like one of the above posters indicated, contact all of the credit bureaus and inform them (preferably, on the phone, then follow up in writing, keeping a copy for your records); they are required to flag your report and should report to you new inquiries and credit requests (but not great about doing so, may require monthly follow up requests for up to a year).

Another good idea is there are many credit reporting services that will send you reports from all of the major credit reporting agencies so you can review for any fradulent activity and notify any the bureau and the inquirer/issue of fraudlent activities and shut down any fraudlent use.

I've lost my wallet before too with everything in it. I know how you feel.
Reporting a lost or stolen card to us will not prevent its misuse. If you have lost your card, you may apply for a replacement but Social Security takes no action just because it has been lost or stolen.

However, a person using your card or number can get other personal information about you and apply for credit in your name. So if you suspect someone is using your number, you should take these steps to protect yourself and your financial health:

Educate yourself about identity theft;
File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission;
Check your Social Security records (call toll-free 1-800-772-1213; TTY 1-800-325-0778) to ensure your income is calculated correctly; and
Monitor your credit reports.

I got most of this info from http://www.ssa.gov/

I believe you can file a police report.

Did the locker room have any signs posting that they were not liable for lost or stolen property, or that is was your responsibility to lock the locker? That may be something of interest to follow up on as well.

Call the police and report it.

Call a credit agency (like equifax, transunion), and notify them of your situation. They can put a block on your credit. No one will be able to make a credit card.
