We're trying to *beat* them, not *become* them.

Suicide bombs only work for the side that is "hidden". Think of it this way, if a US soldier strapped a bomb on his belt, where would he go to detonate the bomb? Who is he trying to kill? If he could answer those questions then he wouldn't need to resort to using a suicide bomb. He would just get his squad to go over and kill them with their normal weapons.
The terrorists are not targeting only US soldiers, they are also targeting the civilian population to try and undermine support for the new government. If they succeed in undermining the new government then the terrorists would have defacto control of that government.

Nah, cause the fact that the terrorist can use only suicide bombing as a way to inflict damage on us, shows just how big of a pus... er coward the enemy really is. We have more bal... er courage than they do.

Only if the neocons in the white house do it first. But I have wondered about this; why don't the leaders encouraging homicide (I refuse to call is suicide) bombing lead the way and do it themselves first?

Absolutely not. These suicide bombers are people that have nothing in life now, and nothing to look forward too. They are easily brainwashed into thinking it is their duty to their religion to give themselves in God's name. They are promised to sit by the right hand of God and to have a virgin when they arrive. Additionally, the suicide bombers are promised that their family will be given untold riches after they do their dirty deed (Of course that's a load of crap, as nothing is ever paid to their families).
We on the other hand, value life and all that God provides us. Even though some of also have little or nothing. Thinking the way we do as compaired to them, is what makes us civilized and them just dumb animals.

No.
How is that making it fair? Are the US soldiers going to start running into crowded markets and blow themselves up? That seems rather counterproductive.

I believe the US will do better to continue to use technology to target explosives delivery - and the US soldiers, marines, sailors, and airmen/women and their families also prefer it that way.

No, that doesn't make sense. We can drop 2000 lb bombs pretty much anywhere in the world and not sacrifice any American.

Considering the war isn't even ours to win, I say save those dire thoughts for when our freedom is actually at stake instead of trying to control petroleum.
