As a species, I think we are ****** - we wont be able to get food from the ocean - we need the land to live on and if we cut down more forests to make fields and pastures, we will accelerate climate change. What are we gonna do!??!

maybe we should have listened to the decades of warnings from environmentalists.......

Don't you only send for backup when you are outnumbered and losing? Sounds like a no brainer but I can be wrong.

YOu can't win by policing a civil war but you can definately die in the middle of it.

Recalling my personal experience and those of the people I know, it seems that those who believe in capitalism feel that they have been rewarded for their efforts and those, even the rich, who believe in socialism feel they have not earned what they have.

I know people closely who have very little but believe that they have earned ever dime they have and are very proud of it, and I know people who I describe as very wealthy who are miserable because they do not feel that sense of having earned what they have, and many of those are guilty but yet give less to help others than the relatively poor people I know.

Be interesting to see how many of you think this president would put his own life on the line for this war. Given his pathetic National Guard and non-existent Vietnam War records, I highly doubt it. If you agree, then what right does the president have to ask/force our troops to do something he wouldn't do himself?

"Not having this equipment in place all over the state is a huge handicap," Sebelius said.

(It's only a handicap if you want it to be.)

The governor said Kansas lacked about half the large equipment it could use for recovery efforts and debris removal, including dump trucks and front loaders. More than 20 percent of its Humvees and 15 of 19 helicopters were sent to Iraq, the governor said.

(Try using the other half of the equipment. Surely that should be enough for a small town.)

Ten died in Greensburg, a town of 1,600 people. An 11th died in nearby Pratt County and a 12th in a separate tornado in Ottawa County.

(If half the gaurd equipment isn't enough to take care of a town this size then Kansas has a problem remaining even with all equipment returned. Do the math.)

(I just wish we could focus on the actual problem of the disaster and leave the politics out of it. It seems to me that Kansas govenor is withholding available resources.)

Bush as ex-President?
What do you see him doing?
If it were possible, I would love it if the next President could have appointed him as Ambassador to Iraq.

That would be called 'a dose of reality', wouldn't it?

I don't believe that the US represents much of what democracy stands for. We lack the direct citizen participation which can be fixed by eliminating the Electoral College and giving more power to the states and local governing assemblies. What other reforms do you think can be made to make the United States more democratic?

I am extremely proud of any nation that kicks out the evil US Forces.

Extreme Death...Extreme Destruction and Extreme Deception what the USA has degenerated to...that is just the way it is.

We will be crushed in IRAQ because we are a nation of evil motives.

How could anyone be foolish enough to sacrifice them selves for a rotten hearted corrupt nation like the USA??

Operation Iraqi Freedom.....what a lie. Try Operation Blank Check for Corruption

I'm a 19 year old college student and I got into an accident last Sunday. The man I hit was okay but his motorcycle got a little dinged up. He got up from the accident just fine and walked around...no real apparent damage; he was just really angry. Now, he's trying to sue me. My insurance has already paid for everything. On what basis can he sue me for? I have no money cause I'm in college!! Any advice????

Gas was about $1.25 per gallon when Bush took the Presidentail reins in his first term.

Last week, Big Oil's first-quarter profit reports came rolling in with more bad news for consumers. On April 26, Exxon/Mobil reported that even though it produced less product than last year, it earned profits of 10 percent on unusually high refinery margins (source: MarketWatch) and that the margins were so high that the company "overcame lower crude oil and natural gas prices" (source: Associated Press).

Gas has exceeded $3.50 per gallon in San Diego, don't worry your pricing will soon catch up to this number.

Record prices and record profits for the Oil companies. Why are we sitting on our butts and not protesting in the streets untill we force the government to take action and curb these abuses?
