I'm a 19 year old college student and I got into an accident last Sunday. The man I hit was okay but his motorcycle got a little dinged up. He got up from the accident just fine and walked around...no real apparent damage; he was just really angry. Now, he's trying to sue me. My insurance has already paid for everything. On what basis can he sue me for? I have no money cause I'm in college!! Any advice????

Consult with a lawyer. You'll be out of some money (to pay the lawyer), but a good lawyer will prevent bankruptcy and may win the suit. And people sue each other for just about anything anymore...

get a lawyer before he takes everything you have

Edit - he can sue you because you hit him , he can sue you for his medical bills , he can sue you for a new bike and he can sue you because he can and he will most likely win , get a lawyer - trust me

well try to reason with him. And if that doesn't work then try to get a lawyer (a cheap one) But the trick with lawyers is that MAKE SURE that the agreement is that u don't pay unless u win the case.
