hmmm were not losing? In an interview with CNN, Iraqi Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi said he would lead a Sunni walkout from the Cabinet and parliament if changes are not made to the constitution by May 15. He also said he turned down an offer by Bush to visit Washington until he can count more fully on U.S. help, CNN said on its Web site.
A walkout by the Sunnis, who control 44 of the 275 parliament seats and five Cabinet posts, would plunge Iraq into a political crisis.
Regardless, we can't win a civil war for Iraq... you sheep need to realize this.

"A walkout by the Sunnis, who control 44 of the 275 parliament seats and five Cabinet posts, would plunge Iraq into a political crisis."
You write this like you believe it matters.
The history of tribal violence in Iraq was well known by many in Washington DC. Yet, they went to liberate them anyhow.
I feel for the men and women of our military. God knows they're doing everything to move heaven and earth in Iraq. It would be nice if every sacrifice they have and will make before Bush leaves office won't go down the toilet the second we pull them out.
But it's going to happen, folks. Just do a tiny bit of your own research into the history of Iraq. It's not hard.
You can't win a civil war like this.

It may be very premature to say that we have lost the war in Iraq. Especially when our latest stragedy hasn't even been tried yet. Unfortunately, many in Congress only are interested in political gain rather than the safety of our nation and the future of our children. People like John Murtha, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid want us to lose in Iraq just so they can criticize one man. That is very sad in my book. Even if we do lose in Iraq, it is really just a battle in the ongoing war on terror. I think everyone will agree though that the only people that can win in Iraq are the Iraqi people themselves. Iraq is the latest battleground in the War on Terror and if you think its not important to Al Qaeda then you better check yourself. Al Qaeda is very involved in Iraq and are very interested in the outcome. Some in our country and in this forum are very mis-informed and choose to be ignorant. Being ignorant in and of itself is ok, choosing ignorance is stupidity. Think about it.

I'm disappointed we left a war against terrorists
to fight a war against terrorism. The only way to
fight a war against a concept is in perpetuity.
By invading Iraq we created a cause and a base
for terrorists where none existed before.
We had them in Afghanistan
and we had worldwide support.
Now we're stuck in the middle of a civil and
sectarian war and we're on our own.
Pitiful.

We already won the war against Saddam. We can't win the civil war since we're not a party to it, and the war against terrorists in Iraq is being lost because we're not killing them! We can't identify them because they look like ordinary civilians. If we were killing them, it might not matter since they're constantly recruiting more terrorists. Western troops on muslim soil is not allowed by the Koran. Muslims will continue to attack our troops until they leave. Would you tolerate an Islamic Army in your neighborhood?

I'm not sure there is any reason to believe we are losing for one. If we were though I don't think the average liberal person would be happy about it. The "Elite" liberal politicians would love it though. Dems and Reps have become so enthralled in fighting with each other they have lost sight of the fact that they are supposed to be running a country, not ruining one.

Not happy, per se. However, if there is a good to come out of it, it would be that perhaps America will not be so eager to leap into a misguided war of aggression any time soon.

Yeah, I am having an "emboldening the enemy" meeting at my house tonight. We are going to write letters to the soldiers telling them how much they suck. Hugo Cavez 's lawyer, Rudy Guliani, is going to be our guest speaker...btw...you are an idot

I don't think so. I think it makes us more upset every time we here about a soldiers death, or the amount of money we are borrowing to pay for it.
