The media puts our troops in harms way by broadcasting every move we make. This news about troops coming in a few months will hurt the troops and their loved ones more because they will be expecting something that's probably not going to happen. It's also very sad that our presidential candidates are using this to get votes. The biggest slap in the face is to have Senators/Congressmans argue amongst each other and tell the troops they are losing the war. Our government really needs to come to a compromise and support each other regardless of what party you belong. When it comes down to it-- its the poor fighting the rich man's war!!!

I shop Aarco because I read labels. Theirs seems to be cheapest AND has a higher gasohol %. You can smell it. It's made right HERE! I think the govt should regulate the fuel industry, use some of the taxes to create gasohol production and set a minimum % of domestic fuel mixed into what we drive with. That would help. They busted some poor man in Tennessee the other day for his still. He wasn't selling it to drink, they checked and found it in the tank of his tractor, car and lawnmower! He was jailed for selling fuel to his neighbors!For goodness sake. We have the ability to fight this energy war and win. It might mean seeing a sugar beet field with a MOBIL sign above it, but so what? We need help here!

Chavez takes care of poor people and is branded antiamerican. Can someone logically say how this is so. When we give foreign aid are we anti all the countries we help?? And doesnt the American government attempt to control foreign governments with the aid stipulations and the list of who is bad and good at the State department? Does it gall a necon that a socialist elected by the majority of his people doing what his people want is better to americans. I think they were very wise. They came from a continent with a history of state established religions, inquisitions, witch burnings, infidel killing, holy wars against other religions and even against other christians, forced conversion of jews under threat of death, anti-semtism, and opposition to science.

They didn't want any of that crap in America. I think we all need to take a look when you mix religion with government. You get the mess you have in the middle east.

A day after he called Bush "the devil" in a speech to the U.N. General Assembly, Chavez said of the president: "He's an alcoholic and a sick man."

He called Bush's policies in Iraq criminal, adding he hopes Americans will before long "awaken" and elect a better president. While he opposes Bush, Chavez said the American people "are our friends."
