The media puts our troops in harms way by broadcasting every move we make. This news about troops coming in a few months will hurt the troops and their loved ones more because they will be expecting something that's probably not going to happen. It's also very sad that our presidential candidates are using this to get votes. The biggest slap in the face is to have Senators/Congressmans argue amongst each other and tell the troops they are losing the war. Our government really needs to come to a compromise and support each other regardless of what party you belong. When it comes down to it-- its the poor fighting the rich man's war!!!

Media has no news to broadcast and it is that reason that they show the movements of the American troops in Iraq which should not because it is against secrecy of movements.

Likewise, US politicians always argue about the war against terrorism with some often indirectly supporting the terrorists because of their declarations that tend to demoralize the soldiers. Americans must feel that they should be united to fight their enemies.

Well, I don't think they are really publicizing every move the military makes.

I don't think that Senators are directly telling the troops they're losing but I think you mean that they are basically saying that based on their words.

Well, the situation in Iraq is not looking good so the fact is that the American public in general is not happy, and that's why the candidates are probably trying to criticize Bush and the war.

Hopefully the situation over there in Iraq gets better soon and the violence quiets down. I do feel sorry for the soldiers' families because it is as you say - "the poor fighting the rich man's war." Unfortunately a number of these poor people also have other problems too, and that has probably added to the overall conflict. Anyway, let's hope that the violence dies down and the people in Iraq find a way to live their lives normally again and be prosperous.

They don't publicize EVERY move we make. They only show the bad stuff; the stuff that makes us look like we're losing and my buddies are demoralized. The only people that buy into that garbage are the people who WANT to believe we're losing. By not supporting a war they think we're losing, these people don't have to feel bad that they don't support the troops, the war, or the government. Rosie O'Donnell said on "The View" earlier this week that she supports the troops, but if she did she wouldn't be trying to connect the leader of the troops (the president) to all these conspiracies. My favorite one was when she blamed the president for the British Marines getting captured by Iran.

The media is a liberal entity, like the Democrats are. They both do the country great harm with their socialized agenda. Reporting as they do on what the military is doing does the country a huge disservice. They seem to accentuate the negative and try to exploit and demean the soldiers.

Everytime the news starts a story on the American soldier in Iraq, I turn the channel. I won't listen to their BS. I recommend everyone do the same thing. If we all did, they would stop this anti-American broadcasting that they seem to enjoy.

Who says we're losing the war? This is news to me. I think overall considering that we are fighting a conflict our military wasn't designed to do, that we are doing quite well, actually....

Television used to be 'FREE'.But since we pay for it,it only shows that we like to watch war instead of live life in person.
