Recalling my personal experience and those of the people I know, it seems that those who believe in capitalism feel that they have been rewarded for their efforts and those, even the rich, who believe in socialism feel they have not earned what they have.

I know people closely who have very little but believe that they have earned ever dime they have and are very proud of it, and I know people who I describe as very wealthy who are miserable because they do not feel that sense of having earned what they have, and many of those are guilty but yet give less to help others than the relatively poor people I know.

Quite a passionate answer from sitizenxxx who has been on Y!A for less than three weeks, has 267 points, and only questions are conservative/bush bashing, either a troll or a student in moms basement, go get a job sonny, fight a war, raise a family, but a home, pay your own bills.

sitizenxxx - you should learn that a little honesty can get you along better than deception, I can see why you would not admit what you are politically, which of course explains your diatribe, anyone who follows a disgraced Harvard professor (as Thomas Sowell refers to it), if that is what you can call someone in his position.

As a capitalist, I like the idea of keeping what I earn and am willing to accept the consequences of my decisions.

Socialists seem to think citizens are not capable of making good decisions and need to have the government make them for us.

Capitalism is the sugar daddy to Socialism.

Only countries with very small populations can exist in a socialistic state without the benefits of Capitalism in the world fueling them. At least today.

Capitalists and believe that entrepreneurs who amass great wealth through their own efforts are good for the country and shouldn't be punished for being successful. Socialists who view successful business owners as people who cheated the system somehow or got lucky. That's why they don't respect high achievers and see them as little more than piggy banks for their programs.

Capitalism-I work, you work, we take care of ourselves and our families. Success comes from talent and hard work.

Socialism-I work, you don't work, I take care of both families. There is no success or failure as that is not fair.

Kinda simple.....
