Two people rob a convenience store. Steve, steals the stuff while Rose, watches the store clerk. Rose shoots him and flees the scene and drops the gun. Steve picks up the gun, and drives away, but ends up running over and killing the wounded clerk. The police set up a roadblock to stop Steve. As he stops an officer asks him about his whereabouts, but he is silent. He is then forced to get out of his car. The officer then notices a bulge in his jacket and reaches in to pull out a gun. Steve is arrested. His car is towed and the police find items taken from the robbery. The officer shows this to Steve and he blurts out that Rose was the mastermind. When the officer interrogates Rose, she requests a lawyer, but before she gets one – she admits her part in the robbery. So the question is what will be suppressed in ROSE’S trial: the gun that the officer took from Steve, the contents from the impounded car, Steve’s statement, or her own admission.

First off I'm a moderate libertarian and this is more of a request for comments then an actual question.

I'm totally confused how people devote total loyalty to self-contradicting parties. Why do it?
It seems that people seek facts to back up their views. Isn't that a bit.... stupid?

The politicians bring up stupid crap they know that everyone will get worked up about and then raise the size of government when everyones backs are turned.

Do you guys think that a main upswing in a 3rd party would help modern politics?

P.S. Ross Perot would have been a disaster.

I can spot an unmarked police car from a mile away. Alot of people can. They're invariably clean, not a scratch on them. Solid colors, black or white or cream, usually an oldsmobile or something. Point is that they're obvious. Why don't police officers use a better disguise? Like have them drive a beat up Camaro? Or perhaps a rusted out Ford Pickup truck? I'd not look twice at one of those. Neither would most anyone else. If it's an issue of functionality, just have a good v8 engine under the hood, new tires etc. and hey, if you have to ram someone, it doesn't really matter. Seems like a common sense sort of thing to me. Why don't the police get it?

We bought a treadmill that weighs hundreds of pounds and took quite a bit of effort to assemble and carry upstairs. On the second day, it broke. I took it apart and narrowed it down to a bad circuit board. To exchange it, I have to undo all my work and start over. Warranty work asks for it to be shipped, same problem, only worse. Is it ethical for me to buy another, identical item, swap the broken board for the new one, and return the second treadmill without assembling it and just get my money back after telling the store it was broken out of the box. I can get to the part without so much as taking the box out of my truck, and I can get a store employee to help me get it in and out of my truck.

Why do you tend to judge me
cause I'm of different race.
Why do you tend to hate me
cause I'm from a different place.

Why is it that you think I'm stupid
because of where I'm from.
In my own opinion,
You have classified yourself as dumb.

You act as if I'm a criminial
evil and a crook.
And all this because
your job from you I took..

All this hatred that you show
is nothing more than envy.
Why can't you just see
that you are not better nor worse than me.

I was born in this country,
I grew up just around the corner.
The difference between you and I,
is that my father crossed that border.

He has struggled in the past
to make our lives all better.
I admire him for that
why do u have to be a hater.

UN IPCC chairman Rajendra Pachauri has suggested that people should consider becoming vegetarian to stop global warming.

Although he emphasized this was his personal view and not an option put forward in the UN's IPCC's report.

"If people were to eat less meat perhaps they would be healthier. At the same time you cut out a lot of the emissions associated with the beef cycle," he said.

"Right from the moment you produce meat, then you transport it, refrigerate it and sell it to the retail store (greenhouse gas emissions are produced)."

Pachauri said these were examples of "lifestyle changes where you are not giving up anything."

"In fact you might actually gain by taking some of these measures. We are asking society to reflect on this," he said.

Since the Bush administration is apparently very good at spinning the truth to conform with whatever agenda they wish to promote, and given that they have been caught time and time again making misstatements and inaccurate distortions of the facts so they can reach their objectives, what credibility do they deserve that the common people should believe them? And if 'the ends justify the means' is the administration's motto, then should they be upset when less and less people want to support them?

Our government is taking away our rights, keeping us under serveillance, and goose stepping around the world killing people.

Just because we are a generous country and living a good lifestyle, does that mean we should ignore what's happening?

Because the rest of the world is not doing as well, is that justification for a rapacious government?
