When their hands went up I felt like punching the television set.

Evolution is a fact you idiots.

Its been proven, several times over, ignorant fools like you choose to not believe it.

Expressing a disbelief in the only logical explanation of how complex forms of life came about on this planet (evolution) implies a belief in a "divine creator" myth.

There is absolutely no evidence of a divine creator. There is limtless evidence of the contrary. Evolution is fact, period.

GRAVITY
IS
A
THEORY~!

Your next question should be,

OK, if you don't believe in evolution,

which is INDEED an effing scientifically proven fact backed by MOUNTAINS of
EVIDENCE,

then, how old do you think the universe and the earth is,
honestly now.

These people are going along with the 'party line' that evolution is some kind of liberal atheistic scientific conspiracy that goes hand in hand with global warming.

Yet, what they don't realize, is that if you don't believe this, then what DO you believe?

That some universe giant came down and plopped animals and plants and bacteria and everything else on a tiny microspec of a planet around an ordinary sun just to "test" his special human creatures?

Yeah. that makes SO much more sense,
phuktards.

Then why is the Theory of Evolution? It is still only a theory not a fact. Get an education, a real education in biology before you run your mouth. There is a lot of supporting evidence for evolution but it is still not a proven fact.

A fact huh? Since when is it the Law of Evolution? Last time I checked it was still a theory. Calling people idiots just because they don't agree with you is a bit childish, don't you think?

Oh, by the way, my hand is in the air.

Yes.
By the extremely broad definition of evolution it exists,
but in my narrower view of evolution, its more or less the degrading of organisms. Some of the changes over time you could think as organismal improvements are truely organisms loosing un-needed genetic data for said environment.

No it is not a proven fact. If it is indeed a proven fact please show a source or something to back this up. Name calling because you disagree with another persons beliefs is a little ridiculous don't you think?

There is proof of a divine Creator everywhere you look.

If you mean genetic variation by natural selection, mutation, genetic drift, to maintain a species fitness then most Christians will agree this is true and a fact of nature.
If you mean stellar, cosmic, macro, Darwinian, neodarwinian, punctuated equilibrium, then most will disagree and the scientist obviously disagree with each other on the various theories of evolution. So which is it?

excuse me, it's a theory and not a very good one at that. It totally ignores the genome. the very fact that older, lower order creatures have more pairs of genes than the younger more advanced creatures is contradictory to Darwin's basic theories. humans have 23 pairs but the apes we "evolved" from have 24 pairs and things like moths have 600 pairs.
Darwin contended that the fossil record would be filled with the diversity that evolution provides but instead the fossil record shows creatures appeared and remained unchanged until now or when the became extinct, no diversity.
But I do have to acknowledge that evolution is the only religion that atheists have to cling to.

Once again, we find that the average person who disavows evolution doesn't have a clue of the difference between scientific theory and the common use of the word theory in our society. They just don't get it. Even when you point out to them that gravity is still considered a theory by scientific standards. Go ahead though, throw that apple up in the air and see if it doesn't conk you in the head when it comes down due to gravity. It's like having a battle of wits with unarmed people. They just don't get it because they don't want to, sort of sad really.

Do you see my hand in the air? No, because it isn't. I believe that the theory of evolution is sound. I wouldn't say fact because we are still learning things about how & when changes occur. For example Darwin posited that evolution was a continuous process with change constant & gradual. Current theory is that evolution is continual with relatively brief spurts of change followed by long periods of virtually no change.

My screen was too small (watched it online) I couldn't even tell who raised their hands - oh well, when is the last time a president actually touched that issue anyway? I doubt if it's really relevant to their candidacy.
