...that a timetable for withdrawl in Iraq is not acceptable, why was it "acceptable" for him to request one from Prseident Clinton when we were in Bosnia?

For those of you asking for a source...here ya go! George W. Bush, 6/5/99, Scripps Howard/Seattle Post-Intelligencer:

“I think it’s also important for the president to lay out a timetable as to how long they will be involved and when they will be withdrawn.”

Did he request a timetable? I don't think so..that moron was busy screwing up Texas as governor while Clinton was busy trying to stop the "ethnic cleansing" in that area.

You may be thinking about Newt Gingrich and his merry band of GOP pond scum who kept on asking for an end to the war...

UPDATE...for all you people giving me thumbs down...thank you. It goes to show how many folks out there who really don't have a clue as to what George W Bush ( or the GOP elite) are doing to this great nation of ours (or who he really is---or where he came from, for that matter).

UPDATE 2....thanks for the source..I stand corrected....

You are confused. That was Pres, Clinton who promised the troops would be home by Christmas, and we are still there. Bush had no involvement at all. In fact the one concern that all governors face when running for President is their lack of knowledge about foreign affairs.

I take it that by saying "acceptable for him to request one", your saying Bush asked Clinton for a timetable to withdraw from Bosnia?

What are you smoking man? Bush was governor of Texas at that time. Why would he be asking for a timetable?

Weirdo!

It is conceivable GW Bush is on record ridiculing what turned out to be the very successful NATO intervention in the former Yugoslavia. As for GW Bush being a two-faced lying incompetent empty-suit, what else is new?

I'm not sure that Bush said that. However he did criticize the nation building effort by the US in Bosnia during the debate, while now he is attempting nation building in Iraq.

for the same reason it was acceptable for Bush to say that no president should ever enter into a war without an exit plan but it was okay for him to do so.
