When it comes to health care lots of people say "Let them buy their own".. and heck, if they can afford it sure, why not... but not everyone can afford such a thing.. I spend 2 years working with troubled teens.. and do you know the places these kids came from? they LITERALLY had DIRT floors in their houses.. i say houses.. they were more like shacks... tell me these families can afford a penny to anything else when they can hardly get by as it is.. we may be an advanced nation.. but not all of our people as well of as you and I sitting here chatting on our computers.

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food. But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue.

Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table...everywhere. Then some of the birds turned mean: They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket. And others birds were boisterous and loud: They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food. After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore. I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. I leaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio.

Will justice finally be served against the LA cops against thier blantant illegal force at the immigration Rally?
Doesnt the FBI stepping in show they went against thier duties?
Also for once-They wont be able to do a "cover-up" using their "internal investigation" tactics..
They beat the Telemundo Reporter- Sprainded back with many other injuries when she had crudentials to cover it..There was no warning heard for people to disperse- Is her lawsuit wrong? Is the class action suit wrong?
Shouldnt Bratton be removed until this is all sorted out?
Our Mayor is back from Central America to look into this illegal police force-
Will this be the beggining of some justice once and for all for peoples rights to be treated like humans?

In his recent speech following his veto of the funding bill, Bush repeatedly referred to 9-11 and Al Qaeda. In fact, he said “Al Qaeda” 27 times. In spite of the overwhelming evidence from dozens of independent sources, proving beyond a doubt that Iraq had no role in 9-11, Bush continues with his fantasy. Furthermore, there is no proof whatsoever that the extreme Islamic fundamentalists causing havoc in Iraq are part of the Al Qaeda network, yet Bush continues to justify his unjust occupation of Iraq by trying to manipulate the facts. When will America wake up and smell the blood-for-oil war?

If I had it my way they would pull troops out NOW. But giving him 100B and additional 18 months seems more than a reasonable compromise. Giving anything else is tantamount to supporting the war. Support of the war will get you out of office quick!

*Note* These are just numbers off the top of my head.. they could be subject to change.. so don't take issues with the numbers themselves.. rather the idea behind it.

What about a plan that gave health care to those that are at say 1.5 times the poverty level.. subject to change based on number of dependents... and everyone above that level was still responsible for their own plans... that would have less of the effect that republicans are worried about with a total universal system bogging things down.. and would cost far less... and yet those in need would still receive aid.. which is what the democrats are after for the most part anyway...

thoughts?

I AM SICK AND TIRED OF HEARING THAT BUSH LIED ABOUT IRAQ. LIBERALS ARE DEAD WRONG AND HERE IS WHY.... (Note that this is comming from the moths of the same people who now are claiming the President lied.)

"As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am keenly aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons is an issue of grave importance to all nations. Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." - NANCY PELOSI 1998

If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow by the knowledge that they can act with impunity, even in the face of a clear message from the United Nations Security Council and clear evidence of a weapons of mass destruction program." - BILL CLINTON 1998

This isn't a bash Bush post.. but realistically speaking his numbers are low... so do you think he will opt not to give support to any candidate (somehow I doubt that.. it would be odd for the president not to pick someone to support.. even if he waits till after the primary and just supports his party member).. but do you think this will help or hurt who he supports?

thank you for civil answers.

I have heard quite a bit of news about how liberal American democrats are, and what a huge threat they pose to the welfare of the country, should they retain power. What exactly does the democratic agenda contain that is so threatening to republicans? Also, from an international point of view, it seems as though the democratic party is more in line with the issues of minorities in the U.S., and for whatever reasons, they (democrats) seem to be much more likely to receive suport of minorities in America. Are there also republicans who are minorities and who command significant respect in the republican party? Why do so many minorities consider the republican party to be racist? Wasn't the republican party responsible for the abolition of slavery? Sorry if my facts are a bit out of whack- we learned some things about American history in school, but that has been a long time ago, and the things I ask now are not commonly discussed on shows that I can receive here in Europe.

"I think America is ready for a multilingual president," Clinton said during a campaign stop at a charter school in Greenville, S.C.

Years ago, she spoke excellent Tammy Wynette, in defending her Bill from the clutches of Yankee females who tried to take advantage of her man.

Condi Rice speaks 5 languages, while Hillary does a fake Southern drawl, Southern Black Preacher, and Tammy Wynette.

Judge Roy Pearson Jr. is suing a Dry Cleaning store that had lost his pants. He says he has to rent a car on the weekends to go to another dry cleaners. Washington consumer protection law has fines of $1,500 per violation, per day and Pearson is using that against the 3 defendants. Also says fraud occured because signs were posted saying "Satisfaction Guaranteed" and "Same Day Service."

What do you think?
What should be done?
How do we prevent this in the future?

Ok so everyone has a voice on illegals going to doctors not paying their bills, not paying taxes, not learning english etc...

My question is do you have the same rants with the americans pulling the same stuff? There are plenty of americans without health insurance who go and dont pay, there are plenty of americans who dont pay their taxes either. Lots of Americans on foodstamps and welfare....do you see where I am going with this?

I want your opinion on the Americans that do these things..not the illegals!!! Thank you!
