The Presidente of Venezuala, I mean:

PUERTO PIRITU, Venezuela (Reuters) -- Venezuela stripped the world's biggest oil companies of operational control over massive Orinoco Belt crude projects Tuesday, a vital move in President Hugo Chavez's nationalization drive.

Rudy Giuliani gained national recognition after 9/11. He was named Person of the Year by the New York Times, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth, and now he's a leading candidate for the Presidency. If it wasn't for the Al-Qaeda attacks on 9/11, none of that would've happened. So apparently 9/11 was great for his political career. If he wins the presidental election, it seems like he would owe his success to Al-Qaeda. Everyone says we won't let ourselves be influenced by terrorists, but if Giuliani becomes president then aren't we letting them influence one of the biggest decisions we ever make? What do you think?

OK, let's see. If I meat the tar out of someone, because say, they insulted my wife, I get charged with assault.
But if I beat the tar out of someone because they are black, and I just hate black people, well, I get charged with a hate crime.

Is it smart to judge a crime by one's motives? Isn't that parallel to policing your thoughts? Think about ti, in court they will be trying to determine whether or not the accused hated black people or not.

Now, I understand crimes like those white teenagers, years back, who dragged a black girl behind their car. But they should have receive increase sentences because the crime was so brutal, not because the person was black.

Aren't hate crimes, affirmative action, the "Miss Black America" pageant; all serving to further divide our country, and no more?

All of the major networks are owned by mega conglomerates..
ABC..IS Disney.(check out their political contributions for the previous two elections)
NBC.. is GE, who gave 100% of what they are allowed to contribute to Republican and big Business interests.
and
CBS. which is Viacom.. who also gave heavily to the right for the last two elections..
we don't even have to talk about Fox as everyone knows they are completely connected to the BushCo, (John Ellis is George Bush's first cousin, he is also the head of Fox New Dept)

Further, Colin Powell's son Michael who became the FCC's chairman http://money.cnn.com/2003/06/02/news/companies/fcc_rules/
admits to a "party line" restructuring of the major media including Television, Newspapers and Radio..

where is the Liberalism in any of these companies..
please explain this to me..

...to simply refuse to convert?

Are you willing to risk your life for what you believe in?

I am.

I don't believe in the war in Iraq. I believe in living the way Americans were intended to live. So I do it. If I get killed in the process of doing that, well, then it was just my time. But at least I didn't compromise what the founders of this country wanted in the process.

i dropped out of high school. Drinking beer and smoking pot was much more fun. i got married at 16. we had 5 kids while living in my mom's basement. mom had to go to a nursing home. I'm poor. why do republicans hate poor people like me? i work every day, flipping burgers at the jack in the box trying to support my family, and my beer habit (i can't help it, alcoholism is a disease) Bush is a moron. he doesn't seem to care about people like me. it's all his fault i'm poor.

I don't know about you, but I am SICK of hearing about the 2008 election for the Presidency already...it is going to be a long, tedius year ahead, and almost two years for people running for office...to me, I am already burnt out. I see nothing wrong with people airing their views, but they are really subject to change, with the times anyway...What about you, am I the only one who is already fed up?

I'll personally grill them up a steak dinner. I am sick of hearing poeople complain about the standard of living for the poor in this country. Drive through any of the poor neighborhoods in this country and you will undoubtably find able bodied individuals playing checkers and drinking beer in the middle of the work week. The unemployment rate is at an all time low, and we still have people clamoring across the border finding jobs at a record pace. We give every boy and girl free education, and when they turn 18 a credit card company is more than willing to extend them credit they have not yet earned. If you *** that up than your just a plain idiot and deserve to live in poverty(microwave, color tv, cable, internet, airconditioning, natty ice....). How many minorities in your public school elected honors or ap classes? (By the way I am a minority, so I don't have to follow pc standards or something.) No more hand outs, please
