There are a few ways you can go.

Your Fiance can file an 129F (Fiance) Petition for you. This process can takes about 6 to 8 months. You would enter the US on a K1 Visa and you have 90 days to marry. Then you would file the AOS Adjustment of Status, and EAD.

Or you can get Married, and file for the I 130 (CR1 Visa) or the I 129F (K3) Visa. You must file an I 130, even if you choose the K3 route. The K3 was designed to reunite couples faster, but it is still a slow process. If you enter with a K3, you will have to file EAD (employment authorization) and AOS.

If you enter on a CR1- you do have more benefits upon entry, but CR1 is a much slower process- and the Consulate in Montreal is the only Consulate that handles CR1- they are very slow. With a K3, if you are closer to Vancouver- your K3 file will go there and they move quicker.

As a Canadian, you can have Dual Citizenship.

You don't HAVE to change citizenship, but you have to get "landed imigrant status" to live and work there. My mom is American, and she moved here(to Canada) with her parents as a child. Both my grandparents are still American, and my mom became a canadian after she had married my dad,who is a canadian, but she did not give up her American citezenship. She decided after they were married and had my brother to take the tests and get her Canadian. Now she has both American and Canadian,I have only Canadian and my brother has the ability to obtain both but he only has his Canadian right now. Even if you decide you want to get American citizenship, don't renounce your Canadian citizenship, okay? Good Luck and congradulations!

You are not required to seek American citizenship if you chose to remain Canadian. You made need a legal residence card, if you decide not to seek citizenship.

The process takes a while, once you start the on the road to citizenship, but this you can do anytime. I believe the same process apply's to your son !

It took 4 years for my wife to become a American citizenship.
Lots of time, paper work, and filing fees.
I did it without the help of a lawyer.
Just call the USCIS 1-800-375-5283 for answers.

nicely surely i imagine the final public of valuable Black men nonetheless do pick Black females it really is purely that we listen of those marrying White females extra so it type of appears like plenty. yet you're excellent, in that it does seem valuable Black men on a higher than common %. non-Black females. and commonly it really is about having a prestige image. There are some idiots available that questioning have a blonde on your arm ability you've formally "arrived". those are not the type of fellows you pick to be with besides, so i do not cry buckets. (See OJ and Kobe Bryant) And at the same time as they attain that prestige, there are countless gold digging White females satisfied to help them stay out their fantasy of a White trophy spouse or mistress. yet now and again it really is basic logistics. at the same time as a guy of any race reaches a particular prestige (millionaire prestige) the position precisely do we predict of he is going to be living and noteworthy out? D'uh, the places wealthy human beings dangle out. they're going to be living in wealthy neighborhoods, going to wealthy bars, gyms, golf equipment, shops, church homes yada yada yada. And the sorrowful reality is, becuase of racism factors, American elite is distinctly a lot occupied with the help of a White majority. So till those men had Black different halves and girlfriends earlier they grew to develop into valuable they're going to be metting destiny wivey of their new extreme classification neighborhoods. And possibilities are extreme hostile to her being something yet White. now and again they purely fall in love with what's accessible. And if the purely mission or the mission it really is maximum accessible is White, he would ignore that.
