Well, first there were the links to Al Queda. Dick Cheney continues to insist there were such links, which is why a bill of impeachment was written against him. The few suspect pieces of evidence supporting his contention were disproven years ago.

Al Queda had no operatives in Iraq prior to our invasion. One member of Al Queda passed through Iraq seeking medical attention. I do not remember whether he received it or not. However, it is well known that Osama hated Saddam's secular government, and had pledged support to the saudis to attack Saddam in the first gulf war. The saudis rejected Osama's offer only because the international coalition was far better equipped.

Saddam never gave any support to international terrorists, with the exception of payments to the families of palestinian suicide bombers (which the saudi arabs have also done--far more aid than Saddam ever donated).

Abu Nidal, the palestinian terrorist, did operate out of Iraq for a few years prior to the first gulf war. When Abu returned to Iraq in 2003, before the american invasion, Saddam executed him. This highlights Saddam's support of international terrorists in response to the impending unprovoked american attack.

The United Nations had free reign of Iraq. Granted, the threat of american invasion did help their investigation. But Hans Blix stated there was no evidence Iraq was in significant violation of UN resolutions, and repeatedly requested he be allowed to continue his investigation unhindered. We denied that request, deciding that the new excuse "regime change" begin.

I think it is clear that there has always been only one overriding reason for our invasion, as explained in the Downing Street Memo. The intelligence was fixed to promote our invasion to secure the goal set by Dick Cheney's secret energy task force clear back in 2001, before the September 11th atrocity. "Operation Iraqi Liberation."

what scares me is that collectively, the American people are so stupid they believe anything the television tells them to believe and so what is next? Nobody understands anymore what a sovereign country is. The quality of life in the USA is going down because we are paying for world domination and we will not take part in any benefits. Iraq was a civilization living in relative peace for thousands of years longer than the USA ever existed and during the Iraq war we destroyed historical treasures and allowed looting of museums and in the end maybe an entire race of people... although they will be allowed to shop at walmart

Ever wonder after the war was over.
Living human kind were all at loss and blurr on what really went wrong out there in planet of apes.
It was only after the exposure on the nakedness of living human kind with those three picture post cards that does not seemed to fit in expose something went wrong in planet of apes.
After the Asian Tsunami realised living human kind is in real deep **** of troubles with our creator getting caught with pants down in Iraq exposed by the children in planet of apes.
Back home everyone were at loss and blurr with the mess out there living in misery in planet of apes.
It was only when the late Yasser Arafat left behind a piece of question on "What is an x-file" that "Knock three times" were able to trace the faults in planet of apes.
Ever wonder why no one can come up with a solution to the mess out there in planet of apes?
Now we know how the mess was created .
We just have to follow our creator's universal instruction manual in planet of apes.
Luke 8.10, 17
The problems is who would believe it when living human kind even kick the butts of our creator back in the past with idol worshiping in not worshiping God in planet of apes.

Every time the situation changed.

1. Saddam refused to comply with inspections, our intel said he had WMD's, so we went in to find them

2. We found no WMD's, so we decided to overthrow a murderous dictator in the process.

3. The murderous dictator's allies were mad, so they started fighting us. We fought them back.

4. We want to leave, so we are now training a police force to fight the "bad guys", so we can leave.

I count 4.

Once. The US went there to get rid of Saddam and the WMD's -- which, by the time of the invasion, had all been secretly shipped off to Syria. Once there, it was necessary to set up a reasonable government, so that the problem would not recur and the bad guys would not have the sort of free rein that they had in Afghanistan. The notion of Taliban and al Qaeda recovering the WMD and using them against the US does not fill my heart with joy.

The face is we are. It doesn't matter why who or what we have a situation right now that has to be dealt with and in the right way. We can't let Iran take over and we can't let the terrorists think they've won or that peaceful life you all are dreaming about isn't going to happen.
