In '03 Howard Dean was the frontrunner but, when the primaries started he fizzled fast. Conventional wisdom has been that a moderate like Guilani can't win the Republican primary, but currently he is a frontrunner. Will the voters ultimately reject him like they did Dean?

I think you may have hit this one on the head. Actually, four years ago today, Lieberman was leading the polls, so Giuliani may be this year's Lieberman. Somebody else (maybe McCain) will end up being like Dean, leading during the fall. I'll bet that somebody more conservative will actually win the nomination.

I do think it could happen. The more debates there are I think the quicker he will fall. He does pretty good on his own, but when he's under pressure and on the spot it didn't appear he was as comfortable. I think, as you point out, he is a little too liberal for a lot of the Republican base. Who really knows though, politics are crazy. We still have a lot of time to see.
