He thinks he's Robin Hood and has convinced a lot of people of the same. Steal from the big rich oil companies and give to the poor people. Too bad Socialists usually stop at the Steal from the Rich part and call it a day. Even after all of this guy's promises and nationalizations, the poor are just as poor as they were when it started. The only person gaining is Chavez.

Why shouldn´t? It´s Venezuelanian oil. so why should it be used to feed your hummer for low, if it can also be sold properly on the market and help the venezuelanian people to raise life standard...?

That oil belongs to Venezuela and the people of Venezuela.The profits should go to things that benefit them and not to some foreign rich CEO.

hugo chavez is one of the most greedy and mad dictators this world has ever seen. first, know that the venezuelen government, long before chavez arrived on the scene, allowed major UNITED STATES' oil companies to drill for petroleum (yes, it is in the ground in what happens to be one of our imaginary "boundaries" that we call "nations" that are "ruled" by "whoever," whether they are voted in or not--it's like how animals have boundaries, but they sure do not get surveys of them!), to refine it, and to process it down in venezuela. they put out millions and millions of dollars to bring oil out of "chavez's" ground, to be consumed by us, whose demand for oil is very high.
1. the ground where the oil lays, just like the wires that run electricity (which chavez had venuezelans pay outrageous taxes so he could buy up 60% of the stock of electricity for the country, a majority interest) never belonged to chavez, and other than citco gas, which you shouldn't buy because chavez is more evil than bush, who he has illustrated to the UN as a "devil," but changed his mind once, chavez and the nation of venezuela do not own the us oil companies.
2. chavez wants DICTATOR control over the poverty stricken venezuelan people, as well as trying to put through a law in the republic of venezuela that shall allow him to be the chief of state of venezuela for the rest of his life to go on and on with his communist philanderings, all the while, keeping the people of that country POOR. 60% of the stock of oil or steel or electricity or water will not, under the rule of the maniac, hugo chavez, do anything whatsoever to help the PEOPLE of venezuela attain a better way of life.
3. we, at this particular junction of how the world is, should actually be putting effort into allying ourselves strongly with canada and mexico and central america, at least that far, to prevent terrorism here, on our continent, EVER AGAIN. and we should not allow any crazed, horrid, terrible, cowardly, user, maniacal peoples into our (boundaried) country--to prevent terrorism, to prevent destruction from within.
4. WE, THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, THE GREATEST AND BEST COUNTRY (surveyed and boundaried) IN THE ENTIRE WORLD, really have to stop relying on petroleum. then, guess what? we can tell all the muslims that are out to KILL YOU and to KILL ME and my NON-MUSLIM family and--in all likelihood--your non-muslim family--we can tell any lunatics that blow up their little children and their wives to kill other muslims or that happen to CONTROL oil underneath their surveyed and boundaried nations, that they can simply EAT THE DAMNED BLACK FOSSIL STUFF.
because, once we free ourselves of any dependency on foreign goods and look only to ourselves to care for the 250,000,000 of us without any help from anyone, particularly for energy--we are once again going to be the richest and most productive country on the earth.
and that is because we love our freedom, and we love to work for our families, and we love our free speech, and we love that no leader of our country can make the legislature pass laws that allow him or her to be a dictator for life, and we have laws that give us representation in government for all the darned taxes we pay.
we need to get away from THEM. we need to live in peace and let them all kill one another over oil, electricity, gold, whatever. our soil is good. our citizens are generally very good people. our attitudes of charity for those that suffer starvation are stupendous. we are good people who owe ourselves decency and no war, no fear of disaster.
i hope that one day hugo chavez is forced to eat the black gold that he stole money from the poor people of venezuela to buy, and i hope he eats the hot, sparky electrical wires that he also used the poor people of venezuela to gain a monopoly of them.
if we were not such a kind and generous group of people with the decency that we live by, i'm sure that hugo chavez would have been "taken out" a long, long time ago. he is a blight to world peace.
