I am heart brocken to hear, that the military officials who are in charge trying to destort information about a soldier who got killed by accident through friendly enemy fire.
Why is that happening? And why can't we even trust our top leaders in charge, to be honest and fighting for what is right? The truth?

I have read a nuber of reports that say if we shut down every last gadget right now it would make no difference as to the impact of greenhouse gases for another 5 - 10 years and by then most of the damage will have been done

Ok

That said the truth is for us to cut emmisions - we seem to have to choose Job / planet

How are we going to get past this

No one I know of is going to say oh no cut the gas to the point we can't sustain our massive oil dependant populations

Prior to the industrial revolution London England was one of the most over populated place on the planet at 50,000 people

Today a small city is 4 million plus

How are we going to manage this

Im only a Lt. but personally can't stand him. Saying things like we've lost the war and **** like that does'nt help military moral, especially because he's saying it only for political reasons and not because it's true but because it's a lie. My friends over their now tell me things are slowly getting better not worse no matter how many bombings their are. The Iraqi army is taking over more and more territory for themselves and will soon enough take over all of it and we will leave in victory. If I had the chance Id beat the snot out of Reid and that a victory, maybe it knock sense into him to let us do our job and win. War is for soldiers, not for poloticians. Let me and my commanders direct and fight war not Congress or the Senate because they make poor generals from their comfy seats, we know what we are doing not them.

There are lots of different views on gun control vs. the right to bear arms. I can see most all side of this issue, and I think that I may have thought of a solution that could satisfy most people!
What if, before being issued a gun permit, people were required to take and pass a course involving learning how to shoot like a marksman, as well as gun safety and responsible firearm ownership! Then following the course....or maybe prior to it, they would be required to have an in-depth psychological evaluation! Do you agree that this would help to solve many of the saftey issues that can go with gun ownership? It is my feeling that we have to consider the reason the right to bear arms was put into the bill of rights in the first place....which is to protect us from the possibility of a tyrannical government. The first thing a government has always done, whenever Martial Law , was declared, was to confuscate the firearms of the citizenry!

Why doesn't the news media print positive reinforcement of what is going on in Iraq. Does this sound like a people who hate us? Look at how generous the students are to our grief when the are suffering daily attacks. This is more newsworthy then a two week diatribe on Anna Nicole Simpson. Our media is definately focused on our destruction cause it will create more news.
