Just for talking sake, If we have all had enough of the Labour Party (and obviously we dont want the Tories back in power) What are the possibilities of a large group of internet users, concentrating their votes on one party in particular to sway the vote away from both parties.

I read once, "if voting made a difference, theyd make it illegal"

well, call me mad, but people power and technology CAN make a difference. Thoughts please.

a) get on boats and planes and come to the US.

b) try to take over the Iraq government.

c) fade away to their countries of origin.

d) plan a mass casualty attack on the US.

----------

If you chose (a), you may believe that the government is hiding aliens at Area 51.

If you chose (d), you might want to think about the fact that the insurgents are only the lower level troops. IF there is a mass casualty event being planned by terrorists, it isn't by the same people our troops are fighting. It's being planned by the generals, hiding in other countries.

I believe that (b) or (c) are the most likely scenarios. If (b), who really cares who runs Iraq? Let the Iraqi people settle that. If it turns into another Saddam, then deal with that in a less costly way. I like cruise missiles myself.

"The problem with the Army is that they are here to fight and it's all about combat power when it's no longer that kind of a war," says a US military officer stationed in Iraq and who is critical of many aspects of the Baghdad security plan.

Whats the point of pissing off the iraqis and losing soldiers when the civil war will continue with or without the United States occupation.

There is no question that the number of Iraqi civilians killed at the hands of US troops is a mere fraction of those falling every day to car bomb and suicide attacks. But when Iraqis do get caught in American crossfire for whatever reason, those deaths, and the often confusing aftermath of investigations and the paperwork for compensation, only serve to fuel the anger and animosity of Iraqis toward US troops.

My mother in law is being denied cancer treatment because six years ago she refused to go under chemotherapy. Now the same doctor that offered the chemo six years ago is now denying her because she refused chemo then. And also the whole cancer "staff" at this one hospital refuses to treat her and are sending her home. Can they do this legally?

The border needs to be secured not just from mexicans, but from terrorists. Think about it this way. If a mexican or a japanese guy can walk across the border and get in illegally, what makes you think a terrorist planning an attack won't get through?

When you're 15-16, you are able to take drivers education. After so many hours of driving, you can get your liscence. However, it's something that everyone is not able to do for one reason or another. Driving is a privilege.

With alcohol, you turn a certain age and automatically can drink without any form of education or training. So what is alcohol? Does one have the right to drink alcohol, or is it a privilege to be able to drink since one must be a certain age to drink?

Also, how do you define the difference between a right and a privilege?

Since I happen to know that in order to get an MBA in business it is required. I think it must be in politics as well. His advise on leadership was to do and say what ever it takes to get what you want. Ruthlessness is pretty much the name of the game. I am really not against freedom of speech, thought, etc. But maybe this book should be banned. Or maybe a good question to ask a politician is where he stands on Machaviallism, and then watch him for purgery.
