So, Pat Tillman, the NFL player who went off to war and then got killed, his brother came forth and accused the military of deliberate and careful misrepresenting how Pat died. I remember when the news was first out about Pat. It was like ‘This hero died for his country in an honorable way’ and that it was at the hands of our ‘enemies’ now its revealed he died at the hands of another US army man in the middle of random gunfire. Henry Waxman went on to say the government invented sensational details to spruce up the ‘honor’ in fighting and dying for this country.
So, here’s the question. If the government would lie about something so small, who’s to say what else they are lying about with this war? If the government really believed that there’s honor in fighting and dying for this country why’d they have to lie about an accidental murder and use it to gain peoples sorrow and loyalty?
Do you believe this war is more of a political movement for the gain of oil, money and power or an honorable necessary fight for freedom?
