I'm not looking to start a liberal/conservative pissing contest, I'm looking for honest, thoughtful answers.

My friend is in jail and I have a feeling he is not leveling with with what he did. Could someone clear this up. All he says is that he passed a check that bounced. I think there's something more to it.

Thanks
Cassie

in your former country in order to become a legal US citizen?

My gf got her citizenship and swears we are the only country that makes you do that, is that so? Are we even the only Western nation that requires that?

Please advise.

how do you think ann coulter will fair on 'the view'?

this will never happen of course, but wouldn't it be fun to watch tokyorosie's head explode when coulter annihilates her with facts, history and common sense?

i almost wish it would happen just to see that...

Did we forget Tillman was killed during an election year? And W. Bush shamelessly used the death of Tillman for his own political gain?

Here is a column I read from a pro illegal allien group:
"On the street, true immigration reform means: fixing the family reunification system so families won't be separated; legalization for the undocumented without incremental phases that stretch out for years; due process and equal rights for immigrants; immigrant worker freedom from exploitation and employer abuse, and an end to criminalization of immigrants on the border and in the interior."

Why should America open its borders for them?

Considering our presence there has ZERO to do with the 9-11 attacks.

And considering the only GOP goal at this point is to save face by killing as many U.S. soldiers as possible.

Makes more sense to me!

For every law 2/3 majority carries it.

If a person didn't have to follow party lines they could just vote impartially!

Sound good .....a viable option?

Everyone says....ohh...He stayed at the grade school after the Nation was under attack on 911 because he didn't want to upset the students. But then he sits and watches thousands suffer and die in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina? Sure.

I know we all register as X ,Y or Z but shouldn't we get rid of that. Not parties themselves but during primary shouldn't I get to vote for whoever I want instead of just a list of those in my party? What about if we just list all the people running for office and the top 3 get to run to the finals whatever party they are? Wouldn't that be more in line with democracy?

Suggestions, Comments, Flaws..all are welcome as I think about this but don't know if it would work out like I imagine.

BUSH: Well Mr. Vice President. Let me say this to you, I wouldn't use force. I wouldn't use force.

MODERATOR: You wouldn't use force?

BUSH: No.

MODERATOR: Why not?

BUSH: It's not in our national interest to use force. I would use pressure and diplomacy.

So, Pat Tillman, the NFL player who went off to war and then got killed, his brother came forth and accused the military of deliberate and careful misrepresenting how Pat died. I remember when the news was first out about Pat. It was like ‘This hero died for his country in an honorable way’ and that it was at the hands of our ‘enemies’ now its revealed he died at the hands of another US army man in the middle of random gunfire. Henry Waxman went on to say the government invented sensational details to spruce up the ‘honor’ in fighting and dying for this country.

So, here’s the question. If the government would lie about something so small, who’s to say what else they are lying about with this war? If the government really believed that there’s honor in fighting and dying for this country why’d they have to lie about an accidental murder and use it to gain peoples sorrow and loyalty?

Do you believe this war is more of a political movement for the gain of oil, money and power or an honorable necessary fight for freedom?
