If you are addressing this question to the neo-conservatives you'll have to change the language to more simple terms and start off with less difficult questions. A sample question might be?
1. Do you tie your own shoes?
Then you can build up to the more difficult line of questioning but, I'm afraid your opening question won't ever be answered.
Thanks

Yes, I guess I would consider myself one. Not just social, but an economic Darwinist as well! Survival of the fittest!

To nostradamus below. I do have a problem with corporate welfare as well. Both forms of welfare need to go!

people don't want social programs until the time comes when one helps them or their loved ones.

things like aid to family farmers, feeding hungry children are things that only unfeeling monsters would callously speak of in talking point terms.

sorry - did i just insult almost everyone who has answered this question - maybe.

oddly, no one seems to have any problems with the massive social programs that target highly profitable corporations - i don't even know if i want to know the mindless thought process that goes into that logic...

People that don't support social programs are tired of the government wasting tax money on redundant and useless substitutions for real help.

The term "social Darwinists" was made up by the same people who created "social programs."

Just a creative dis. Don't put too much thought into it, us rugged individualists don't.

The rugged individualism of the US predates Darwinism.

If you mean that I believe that those on welfare should either get a job or starve in comparison to Darwin's theory of evolution, ie. evolve or become extinct. Then yes, I would be a Social Darwinist.

Nah, they just are intelligent enough to know that social programs don't work.

are you talkin' about people who dont want social programs or those that want them limited?

if they dont want them at all then yes(they are also stupid)

but if they want them limited then no, they're just opinionated.
