Nancy Pelosi’s recent trip to Syria represents more than a partisan jab at the Bush Administration and its policies. It goes to the very heart of the constitutional foundation of our republic!

While Harry Reid is waving the Constitution in our faces – citing the independent power of the legislative branch of government – he conveniently diminishes the constitutional authority of the Presidency with his statement that the Democrats represent the people, while the President DOES NOT!

The Democrats, and particularly Pelosi and Reid, have apparently forgotten Constitution 101. The power to set Foreign Policy resides ONLY in the Presidency. As long as George Bush holds the office, HIS policy IS the Foreign Policy of the United States.

For that matter, the power to determine the Military’s mission and it’s strategies reside with the Commander in Chief – which role is also held solely by Mr. Bush.

Ms. Pelosi has been attempting to set herself up as the de-facto leader of a sha

Build a permanent base in Basra Get out of Baghdad.

X USMC Comandant PX Kelly said "get out of Baghdad" We are nothing more than a target in every radicals crosshairs"

In Baghdad we draw every whacko in the Mideast that wants to kill an American into the largest population center.

We will always make the Malike Government look like US puppets.

We divide the Country and leave Southern Iraq un defended for Iran to slowly take over with Shea Militia.

With a Base in Basra Haliburton gets the Building contract. (politicians are happy) We protect the oil supply we protect shipping. We have a location close to Bush's Saudi friends So US forces can leave Saudi Arabia. they can also live in Basra.

Or presence in Baghdad naturally splits Iraq Our long term presence in Basra unifies Iraq and creates a competing culture.

Insurgents that solely want to kill Americans have to engage US forces in the South not the large population centers.

US in Basra stabilizes the Mideast.

Afterall you guys supposedly live in the best country in the world, free to do pretty much as you please. Surely you should be celibrating your diversity and not getting so negative with each other.

This organization was founded by Al Sharpton, who has made racist, or bigoted remarks in the past and has incited violence. Did Obama do the right thing for his party by going to meet with Sharpton?
