how dare you point out the great republican hypocrisy...you should check out the things that republican leaders were publicly saying when he went after bin laden and took action in kosovo...the very same idiots who are screaming that anything less than 1000% public adoration of anything the moron-in-chief says and does is 'giving aid and comfort to the enemy' and 'treasonous'...maybe during the clinton years, conservatives 'hated america'

Yes , I think we went after Clinton for the wrong reasons, what he did wrong was a moral issue and to me, the only person who had to deal with that was his wife, not the rest of the country. He may have made a poor judgment in what he did in his personal life, but in no way did that affect how he ran this country, until the republicans made it a "big issue." Clinton wasn't the first President to have an affair while in office, but because he was a well liked President, the opposition needed to find something to discredit him in the eyes of the people, and in reality, most Americans could have cared less that he had a fling with Monica. So, yes that was unpatriotic and unamerican, the lawmakers took that issue way too far. Baby Bush, on the other hand, is making poor judgments that is affecting every person in this country's way of life, and is not looking out for what's best for his own people, and should be held accountable for it all.

Unpatriotic, in my opinion there are huge differences now because we are in active combat.
WJClinton lied during a sexual assault police investigation. Twice, impeading justice. Not purely his bad taste to have sexual encounters in a closet in the White House. It's the headlines most people read not the whole story. WJC lied on television to a nation as well.
It isn't unamerican to challenge what you believe may be a gross neglect of duty as far as I am concerned. With Bush you send a bad message underming authority and to the bad guys are brave soldiers fight every day.
What should be obvious is altered and so on the media maddness continues. If it were not in a political season forced upon us early for a Presidental race I may lean more toward checking out Bush. But when you are sandwiched between slick crafty lawyers (sorry, one disbarred) how can I believe any of this nonsense is true. God help us all if we get a repeat of the Camelot existence of the Clinton clan. I am afraid and would bet my dog we will go into Iran asap, Venezuela and a draft will not be far behind. AND as for our new Ambassador well, what will they be collecting on that watch? These are my opinions after years of research. I hope I am not unamerican or unpatriotic in anyones eyes.

I am not sure anyone ever bashed Clinton. If he was doing his job instead of being not having sex with an intern in the oval office.. then if any bashing was going on, he would have deserved it. So bashing presidents is not unpatriotic or American. Free speech was not against the law until just recently under the Democratic Controlled Congress. Now it will be against the law to voice your opinion of opposition to any candidate running for office. Your free speech is being now well regulated and next will be your thoughts.

Nope, the same way it isn't unpatriotic and unamerican to bash bush. Differing opinions is part of why a democracy works, my friends, and if you don't like it then join a dictatorship.

I think it's both unpatriotic and unAmerican to "bash" any President. Speak your mind at the polls!

Of course not, its only unpatriotic to bash Bush and his cronies... nope, I seem to remember that it was perfectly acceptable to bash on Clinton for an affair that didn't cost lives, rather than bashing on Bush whose cost countless deaths around the world

One shouldn't "bash" anyone. To disagree and debate an issue or posit is correct. To attack personally because of a psychological complex the attacker has is psychotic. People who do this are favoring sensationalism and media sentiment based on emotionalism rather than factual representation. Beware of mudslinging as it can belittle the observer as well as the participants.

absolutely not!

personally i loved Clinton..i think he was one of the best presidents we'd had in years....but that's fine if you disagree that's the beauty of the first amendment! which is why i appreciate the right to bash Bush and not be called unpatriotic or unamerican....although that seems to be the default response for most people when someone disagrees with you.

It isn't UN-patriotic at all to disagree with or even bash a political figure.

What is unpatriotic is bashing America or the military.

Personally I rather enjoyed bashing Clinton since pratically everything he did had immoral and or illegal undertones.

I think he was the first president ever that got elected, mostly because he took a majority of female voters because they thought he was cute. Cuteness is after all a REAL mark of a leader you know.
