I'm embarrased to admit this, but, before he was elected, I'd hoped that George W. Bush would be elected and that he'd mess up so badly that the corruption and evil he represented would be exposed to all.
I had no idea that would result in the deaths of over 700,000 innocent people and the serious injury to another million plus.
I'm not confident that this lesson has been learned. The evil accomplishments overwhelm anything positive he may have achieved. I know stockholders in Halliburton might disagree, not to mention whoever stole the $4 billion lost in accounting for oil.

Bush has shown that certain republicans are not good as President. That only republicans enter into Middle Eastern wars, and that the USA is a Christian country that is as fundamentalist as most Muslim states.
We export terrorism to other nations

He's done more than just about anybody fighting AIDS in Africa. He did a great job in the days after 9/11 (slowly fell apart after that).
There are a couple of other things he did with congress's help that were good in my opinion but not universally held to be (Medicare-D, No Child Left Behind).

GREAT QUESTION! I think his utter failure--with bravado--has awakened the younger generations to care about our democracy. He's been a perfect example of irresponsibility and (while working in a tropical plant store--didn't show up for Nat. Guard duty)...great example to your military youth. It saddens me any young person is serving where this individual failed to even show up for an hour or two during his vacation in the national guard. Somebody prepared his path, and that's a good example we should all strive using our own talents. He should have stayed in tropica plants (a la Curious George).

Mo reports that GWB raised the minimum wage. He didn't and if it was left up to him he would NOT have. Because the Democratic House and Senate threatened they would override his veto, and politics as it is, he signed the bill. Therefore, GWB did nothing for the common worker in America. For the big business owners, the last 6 years have been a real "blessing" for them. EPA clean air standards have been reduced, costs have risen to pay for the minimum wage bill, the rich pay less tax then ever before - so GWB has done NOTHING!!!

He promoted literacy among grade schoolers. Of course he did it during 9-11 so there is a certain negative aspect to that. There is an old saying, "No one is a complete waste, they can always serve as a bad example!" In my humble opinion, he is the definitive "Bad Example" From now on, we might just be a little more careful when we vote for our President. When I was growing up, I was told that anybody can be President. Now we know why that isn't always a good thing!

One Good thing...when he takes a long vacation and lets semi-bright people make decisions.
Also, he has forced my school to do all kinds of standardized testing, which means I don't have to do homework for a week. Joyous.
