Penalties for violent crime in the United States are far too lenient. Every time we try to toughen sentencing standards, whiners from the ACLU subvert our efforts. Most willful, violent crimes should be punished at a minimum with life without parole. We need to start electing politicians who demonstrate the fortitude to enforce the people's will.
