It seems like there have always been wacky libs... and I say that being a liberal.

And a few wacky conservatives. But it seems like there are more and more of them now days, and their ideas are more openly accepted in the conservative world.

I mean "liberal media" seems to almost be as good as fact for conservatives now, when most used to watch only "liberal media" in the past. I mean Reagan and Nixon got elected with a "liberal media," with basically no other media?

but, moving on... it just seems like so many seem to believe that "liberals are evil" and "liberals will destroy America"... and these attitudes seem to be much more accepted than they used to be...

used to it seemed that conservatives may be that "grumpy grandpa" that talks about hard work and common sense... but they didn't want to kill all liberals? They realized the value of free speech and freedom of expression and that we're all Americans...

not so much anymore... or is it just me?

When you get pulled over by a cop (for say speeding) and they come up to your window and do the notorious "Did you know that you were going 15 miles above the speed limit?" Is it better to lie and say something like "No officer, I really didnt notice, Im really sorry!" or tell the truth and say something like "Yes, I did, I am really sorry- I am in a hurry, I know I should've been going the speed limit".

Because in a way it seems better to lie so you dont look as foolish (even though the cop probably knows your lieing). But it also seems logical to tell the truth (because the cop would be shocked you are actually truthful and admire you and let you off)

In your opinion whats better?

I believe in peace. I know though that at this point in time that is impossible to achieve. The only universal language that every person can understand is brute force. A sign of friendship can be percieved as deceptive and questioned as to why this person is extending the proverbial olive branch. But everyone fears being attacked and beaten.

The other day i was driving up the highway doing about 120km in a 100km zone. I was following about three other cars and I was the last one in the group. We all pulled out to pass another group of cars (about 5) who were going about 110-115. At the end of this other group was a black impala. The driver was wearing a dress shirt and had a suit in the back seat. As soon as I went past this car he pulled out behind me, started to tailgate me and when I looked back he was holding some sort of card above his steering wheel (Looked like a credit card). I was spooked and pulled back in to the slower lane until he passed. I debated whether or not it was a police and thought it wasn;t so i tried to pass him again but he did the exact same thing to me. Was this a police officer and if so what was he trying to do?

Yes Santa a proud Canadian at home in the North Pole

The North Pole is melting at an unprecedented rate.

Bush(US) Harper (CDN) Putin (Russian) and the heads of Greenland Iceland met to discuss the opening of the long dreamt about Northwest passage sea route .

An argument broke out as to who gets to collect the toll for it's use. The US owns Alaska, Green land owns the straights into the other side Canada and Russia own the land mass that surounds the middle - You see the problem

Ok I understand that they forgot about the Eskimo who have lived there undisturbed for thousands of years I even understand why they might have forgotten about the Polar bears .

But Santa ?

Where will he go ? All those displaced elves the additional cost of sled rental spaces in urban centers is astronomical these days

Sorry boys and girls , Santa's home melted and so we have to write to him care of Ottawa ?

That can't be right !

And Don't you find this upsetting that they, especially college professors, try to indoctrinate students to there socialist philosophies? Especially when it comes to young impressionable minds, schools should be free of indoctrination. Indoctrination is not education, it's brainwashing!

China is currently planning to build a aircraft carrier and buying Su-33 Naval version of Sukhoi-27s from Russian. The Chinese military has released the production of J-10 fighter bombers reportedly reverse engineered from a US F-16 plane given by Pakistan and Israeli Lavi fighter plane developed from US funding. China is building nuclear submarines with missiles capable of reaching the US Pacific coast. well, Chinese military also has the Russian Sizzler missiles bought along with their diesel Kilo submarines. These Russian Sizzler Missiles spiral down at high attitude and even US Aegis destroyers cannot defend against it. The Sizzler missile can take out aircraft carriers and China also have several Sovremmeny destroyers equipped with Russian Sunburn missiles. How will the US respond to a potential military conflict against China over Taiwan? Remember the US has canceled the F-22 Raptor fighter jets but recently tested their JSF F-35 fighters.

Would he/she have to start with an optimum amount of money or would it be more on name recogniton, and if so how much would it cost to start? And would name recognition be enough alone or would they have to have something up their sleeve?
