At my school, they can suspend you for not telling (if asked) about something bad that happened. Is this fair? My friend was forced to tell on these guys because the VP threatened her with suspension. isnt this in violation of the fifth amendment?

My son and his friend just finished work on Thursday about 5 pm. They work in construction so were pretty dirty. They walked across the street and sat at the bus stop to wait for a bus home. They weren't bothering anyone. The police pulled up and started asking them questions. Haven't seen you boys around here before. Where you from? Where are you going? What are you doing here? Got any id?
That doesn't seem right. Since when did we start living in a police state where they have the right to question two boys who are not misbehaving in any manner? They weren't coming out of a bar late at night. They weren't harassing bystanders. It was the end of a work day and they were obviously getting off work and headed for home.

my boyfriend is deployed in iraq. and what are some things he might actually really need? i already thought of candy, a power strip, magazines, those individual packets of sugar and creamer, hot sauce, sock, underwear, cotton t-shirts, copenhagen long cut a log of it, phone cards, batteries and what else? Thanks.

Also, should he be even dipping while in Iraq, won't that make him dehydrated?

He is setting precedent here that 29% is acceptable, because the congress refuses to impeach. What if every president from now on has only 29% approval - do you think we will have very much say in what our government does?

Maybe the government did some kind of study to see how much he could get away with without really getting in trouble, and they stick with that so that they can get what they want done. Maybe Rush Limbaugh and other bush apologists are on government payroll? Think outside the box.

I just watch in TV 2 hours of cops show
and I have a question;
in this era of high technology why the police force still use a lethal force?
when they can use the same technology
we used to capture wild wild animals
with tranquilizer darts or paralyzed darts
I believe this system is more safe for the officer
for the suspect and for the civilians

beside if hit an innocent is not a big deal
he will sleep for few hours and then he will be able
to walk aways

so why not use darts as a good alternative to the 9 mm?

I think this should have been done years ago, without any hesitation. Now the illegals are marching for immediate citizenship again. Do you think they're demands will succeed? I certainly hope not. I want Bush to stand his ground on this issue. We all know he can have the tenacity of a pit bull when he needs to.

i was at the mall today with my kids, they were playing in the center court playground, my son had a bouncy ball in his hand and was running around playing with another boy, when this boys grandmother starts yelling at my son, she grabbed him by the wrist and tried to take the ball out of his hand, she said because he was being selfish with the ball. i was watching my son the entire time, he was just playing, there was no fighthing over this ball. then she grabbed her grandson by the wrist and dragged him about 4 feet. i went up to her and told her she had no right to grab my son and yell at him. i was so mad i took my kids and left after that, as we were walking away she continued to scream at me so loudly she got the attention of about 10 surrounding stores. the only thing i could think to do at the time was to get us out of that situation, but now that i think about it i probaly should have called the cops on her.

"The making of sound U.S. foreign policy depends on a vigorous, deliberative, and often combative process that involves both the executive and the legislative branches. The country's Founding Fathers gave each branch both exclusive and overlapping powers in the realm of foreign policy, according to each one's comparative advantage -- inviting them, as the constitutional scholar Edwin Corwin has put it, "to struggle for the privilege of directing American foreign policys why, 'http://www.law.duke.edu/magazine/2005spr...

I mean we ALREADY HAVE laws on the books, but they just aren't being enforced because the government refuses to do so. Why not take all that money which is being spent to try to come up with "Comprehensive" plan and just enforce current laws? If they would stop the influx of illegals into the USA then we would be saving MILLIONS not having to foot the illegals bills that they don't pay.

OR is the illegals amnesty bill just another foot towards erasing the borders and the development of the North American Union between Mexico, USA and Canada? Look at the facts: the DHS is UNDER the SPP program!

Does our military might give us the right to make the rules for everyone and ignore the laws of our own country? I think we are arrogant beyond belief . If we're really the leader of the free world everyone should be accountable ie.. even the president.
