I know, it is a very extreme and perhaps illogical thought, but I have to admit it has crossed my mind.

Interesting question.

Moving isn't something that is done too lightly, but, under certain circumstances, yes, I might move if I disapproved of the current government, the laws in place, or the actions going on. I think I would first try to raise awareness and take some action within the community to change what was going on, before just abandoning the place where I was living, and all the people in it. But if the majority of the people living in that area - and thus the majority vote - backed up the people, government, laws, etc, that I opposed, yeah, I definitely would consider moving.

I lived in North Carolina for the entire time Senator Helms was our senator. Never thought once about leaving that glorious state just because I totally disagreed with the good Senator.

No. Because you are leaving and what you should do is to struggle for your dreams or for what you want. If everybody would have the same reaction, can you believe? the entire cities of United States would be like a desert. The power lies on us not on them, make a difference. Go on!!

If you feel that is what is best for your family and your career, you could consider it. However, you could always become an advocate for a candidate who shares your views and help them win the next election if you do not wish to move.

I wouldn't move out of state because you are not happy with your political folks. Stay there and campaign against them in the next election. That will relieve your anxiety.

Nope. I would try my best to not have them elected next time. Besides, the way politicians are, from either side, I would be moving all the time..

If I felt that strongly, that I could not live there in peace, I suppose that would be my option.
