You can earn good time, which takes days off your sentence , by working .You also can have time added to your sentence if you are put in segregation for fighting , gang related activities or other rule violations , if he would like to find out his good time he should request it from the classification department at the prison

No vacations. Your conduct determines if you get out early, or stay a little longer.
No serve 2, get out 1. You get 9 months, you might be out in 8 mos, 3 weeks.

I work at a federal prison and it works in years not months...so yea he is pretty much gonna serve the whole sentence. Our federal inmates get 54 days a year

For a ten year sentence you serve five. For one year you serve around 6 months

it sounds like your bf is was convicted of a state crime, if that is the case when you serve a day you get a day off for good behavior, for local and state charges only, for federal crimes you serve 85% of your sentence. i hope this answers your question.

No, you don't get a serve-two, get-one-free deal. However, if he behaves, he can get a month or two shaved off the sentence. He can be a snitch also, which helps make the experience easier on him. I heard you get priviledges when you help the guards out. Yet, tell your bf that when Butch finds out, grip the soap when taking a shower!

I believe there is time off for good time spent, but nine months only not sure, wish you the best, and good luck with your situtation.
