That's primitive and shames the ones who practice that procedure more than it shames the prostitutes.

Ethics first: why do women or men go into prostitution to begin with? Raising the minimum wage might help and fighting against discrimination of some minorities might help. Have you ever heard about survival sex trade workers?
Law second: Prostitution itself in most places is not illegal by itelf. Soliciting or exchanging money for the act is.
Fact third: as long as there are men who want to use prostitutes, there will be prostitution. Shame the johns instead. And while you are at it, go after the predator pimps who often get women hooked on drugs to make money for them.
Not so simple a question is it?

This is a retarded question. Of course prostitutes shouldn't be shamed in a "public parade".
Prostitution should be legalised and regulated just like any other industry. We're all prostitutes anyway, at least these women admit it.

what would be the point? prostitution has been around forever and its not going away no matter what you do. actually, that sounds like something the nazis would do. if people want to engage in sex for money, why is it a problem for others? actually, a parade would advertise the goods. where do you think the customers come from? jerry faldwell was one.

They sell their bodies; how exactly would they feel shame over anything?
And why would they feel shame?
Their bodies, they can do with it what they want.
