Guess not many understand the Constitution or the division of powers and the responsibilty that comes with them. Her trip to the middle east was EXACTLY why America changed course in November,

"The making of sound U.S. foreign policy depends on a vigorous, deliberative, and often combative process that involves both the executive and the legislative branches. The country's Founding Fathers gave each branch both exclusive and overlapping powers in the realm of foreign policy, according to each one's comparative advantage -- inviting them, as the constitutional scholar Edwin Corwin has put it, "to struggle for the privilege of directing American foreign policys why, 'http://www.law.duke.edu/magazine/2005spr...

Sorry about the links

And to the dittohead did you ever think a U.S. Congressional leader might already know that charges were INEVITABLE so getting it out in the open and confronting it and stating our NATIONAL position on it might be more favorable? Thought not-------------- most people who listen to hate radio don't

I would like to thank you for pointing out the fact that separation of powers does not mean that the President can do whatever he wants without reprimand.
We need more leaders like Pelosi.

Can't get the links to work - try it again.

Wow - I'm floored. I knew the oversight under the repubs was lax - and I'd expect it to be, but the total division of the parties has created a real lack of debate and oversight. The parts about the historical use of it during the McCarthy era is especially enlightening and damning of the repubs.

Excellent stuff - thanks.

I'm still waiting for you to point out this power in the constitution.

The excecutive branch is the only branch with diplomatic power... think about the caos it would cause if one person came by saying one thing and then another person came by promising something completely different?

This is exactly why treaties and other diplomatic dealings are made by the president and then approved by the Senate...

Pelosi did nothing more than a power grab, you will realize the constitutional implications when a republican congressman goes over the head of a democratic president.

She talked to Syria. All talk no action yet.

I will never support Pelosi because she had a great opportunity to "Support the Troops" you know that famous liberal catch phrase. But when John Murtha accused Marines of "cold-blooded" murder before they were accused, charged never mind convicted and she did not denounce it heck she supports him to take a leadership roll this past January.

Do you not think it is wrong for a US Congressman to publicly accuse a member of the military (or even a US citizen) of crime before charges are filed or a verdict is returned? No matter what the outcome is.

Do you not "Support the Troops"?

She has no moral character, zero.

ADD: Not a Dittohead but, He said they were GUILTY he didn't ask if they might be or that charges were pending he said THEY DID IT. Whatever happened to "Innocent until PROVEN" guilty. At least I know where you stand:

Damn the law, F the Troops and Support a Libs right to mouth off

neither you or Nazzi Pulloutsi has ever heard of the Logan Act. She broke the law. Mr Bush told her not to go except as a tourist. She went pretending to be secretary of state. She spent millions of my dollars. She made up a message she claimed was from isreal, they immediately denied they had given her that message. and she did it to embarass the president and to build up our enemy basher asssod from syriia- a country that has declaired war against u.s. and isreal. She should be in jail, waiting to be hanged for treason.

Nancy Pelosi accomplished her goal of certain bills being passed during the first 100 hours of the 110th Congress.

She has provided a view of how America should treat Americans and the rest of the world which is a welcome change from the bellicose tirades of this Administration.

So were you particularly proud of her carrying a "message of peace" from the guy in Israel to the guy in Syria? You know....the message that Israel says they NEVER sent? Yeah she's great at foreign diplomacy.
